just to share my case, my VI points was unable to transfer to my MU VI, confirm by 2 different CS, this happens when i called them on last friday.

Spot on, and this is correct.

We not only not able to transfer the points (even downgrade the points to Platinum level!) also the installments and outstanding we have with the card cannot be transferred to another MBB card. I kind this absurb though when they explained to me due to different interest rates.

and that's the thing... banks trying to obsolete cheques... but if you have current account, you must get a cheque book.... and you can actually use IBG or IT instead, which even cheaper costs...

btw, yeah... old times, i drop in cheques for card payments, because is on the way, and same charges to IBG, why not?

but now, different say.. hahahaha

Wow. I have never written a cheque in my life! Didn't realise that they were a common mode of transacting.

The last I wrote a cheque was back in UK when I was studying there more than 10 years ago - to pay for school fee or something. Back then UK banks issue cheque books for whoever that opens account. Nowadays not sure

Back then I was in awe when the debit card that they issued to me is already PIN and Pay feature - so advance rclxm9.gif (as M'sia bankst still doesn't have this feature) YET to the cheque mode is so old school doh.gif

HAhaha...yes! I used to issue cheques alot...but now with internet banking its getting lesser and lesser, only if i have free time and feels like lepaking at the bank i issue cheques for my payments.

Anyway if u issue cheques more than rm25k they ask alot of question such as whats the cheque for, from where the source of income etc...a bit of annoying lah.

It’s inevitable.

Bank Negara or even global central banks are phasing out cheques transsctions.

Less fraud, more secure and more importantly, traceable to switch to online transactions

Been waiting for this weekend for the longest time. I have something to spend on and already maxed out all my cash back cards, started using MUVI for all my transactions. Not sure if 2x TP is a good idea but oh well better than nothing.

Fruity jie jie. It is not wise to swipe muvi if you got big item if it is not on MU match day if u r going for the cash vouchers unless you aim the enrich points. If for cash vouchers, the return is sucks and there is another card you can use it for better returns which i bet you may not have given it a thought b4. tongue.gif

Which card? BP? I purposely keep the quota for this weekend's match. So, it has no effect whether I reload to BP or pay straight to the merchant, still 2x. Or did I misunderstand anything else?
I already maxed out all my cash back cards, so I really have nothing else left. laugh.gif

given your condition, i will swipe the MUVI without hesitation if the spending is necessary.
