LOL indeed tongue.gif just trying me luck there

How about paying LHDN for our taxes with M2CP via M2U? Presumably zero TP as well yes?

Pity as I believe in Singapore there are various options by various cards to benefit from paying income tax.

QUOTE(djkeoni @ Feb 27 2020, 12:03 PM)
Interesting option there, thanks.
*
Govt transaction is 0x TP

For car loan, i think you can use ipaymy if u willing to pay 2.25% fees. And MY doesn't accept Amex yet, unlike SG

hmm no other card comes close?

I may have high frequent purchases thru a merchant, but they only accept VISA,

so was thinking how to optimised my benefits
*
2x TP, so the conversion rate is RM2.5 per miles

don't think other cards came close. Citi Premiermiles - RM4.5/miles

QUOTE(iwubpreve @ Mar 2 2020, 11:12 AM)
buy online at foreign currency also RM1 to 5tp?
*
Normally, online payment in foreign currency usually is overseas payment gateway. So can get 5x

But got rare cases where foreign currency payment uses MY payment gateway and only earn 2x TP. Good example is Paypal

Hi wanted to ask, MU match fall ard 1am our time, does that mean that spending is applicable for today?
*
Nope. Only spending on 8 March is eligible for 5x

Follow UK local time (ie the match against City was won on 8 March)

Finally understood. Many thanks sifus for the clarification.  notworthy.gif

Further points to add on overseas transaction

The % charge is per what charlesj has posted - 2.25% for Visa and 2.5% for Amex

but another reason to go for Visa is because Visa forex rate is usually better than Amex

From Maybank T&C - For AMEX cards, any charge that is made in a foreign currency other than U.S. Dollars will be converted by AMEX International into U.S. Dollars before being converted into Ringgit Malaysia

Hi question, recently requested credit limit for my Islamic ikhwan petronas and got approved from 6k to 8k. Called cust service , and they advice that's the max credit limit already.

But not enough, is it possible for the apply conventional card Maybank 2 gold for a separate credit limit? Tq
*
Nope.

U want high credit limit, go apply from those foreign banks like StanChart or Citibank

i would rather get cashback but 5x points is better than nothing
*
Once you are in the airmiles game, u naturally forgo cashback (unless u really have a lot of expenses)

If u need cashback for that tiny extra cash, then it's better consider cutting expenses to save more money biggrin.gif

do report back how it goes! I wonder if Maybank will be more lenient on annual fee because of COVID. If not, then I will also want to cancel mine before the fee kicks in later this year. Don't think I can hit the spend required thanks to all these lockdowns.
*
Same. My anniversary is in October.

All my paid expenses for Europe trip has been refunded and debitted back to my m2p...

If u use standalone MUVI, it’s 50k.

No expiry since its still on the card.
But I’m wondering which FFP to transfer to

AM or KF has longer validity?
*
Asiamiles technically no expiry now - as long as on-off transfer some miles into AM, the miles will remain valid

if i swipe RM6000 this month, and convert to EPP plan of example 12 months. the full RM6000 will count towards this year (october month) spending assuming the anniversary is November, correct?

abit too close in achieving the RM80k minimum spend
*
No exact idea about that.

But i got waiver (anniversary Oct) even though my total spending is 70k ish, INCLUDING 20k++ refund due to flight/hotel cancellation

Did you call up to get it waived? I’m off by more actually. Though likely can just reach by signing up epp.
*
Nope, i was prepared to pay the RM800 and didn't call up CS for waiver. Since Maybank is known to be strict.

Funny thing is - I only realised that the Maldives resort that I booked and paid upfront, actually have yet to refund me (as late as August, refund request was in March/April) when i tally my statement to check for total spending. Needless to say, I feel 'mafan' to cancel my M2P since I need to have this sum credited back to my CC
