QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 6 2020, 11:57 AM) So, in another word you did spend >RM 80k and the amount has refunded yet? Nope, from Oct 2019 to mid Sept 2020, my total spending is about 74k, inclusive of 20K refund. Net spending about 54k. I thought I might have missed out on supplementary card. But double check, no swipe after July 2019 since Maybank revised no TP for e-wallets..

QUOTE(dark.knight @ Nov 13 2020, 05:33 PM) Hi guys, I use the 2 cards since 2017 and have never been charged annual fees due to many business travels, but they charged me RM800 annual fee last month. I called the CS and requested for a waiver, but it was disapproved and even after an appealed, still not accepted. Another casualty of Covid-19 I guess. I was told if I downgrade to Platinum 2 cards they can waive the annual fees, but their lack of empathy in the current situation strikes me and I am thinking of cancelling the cards altogether. May I ask your opinion if the exclusive benefits of these 2 cards are worth the annual fees? I foresee travels to begin again once vaccines are available, but some other banks may offer similar benefits or better. Thank you. I think this card is the best in term of collecting Krisflyer/AM. In your case, I think you can cancel your card first, save the RM800 annual fee. and then re-apply after 6 months. I foresee more like 2H21 when international travel restrictions starts to ease. It takes time to manufacture enough vaccine and distribute to population. Only when xx% of the population is vaccinated then consider safe (let's take Pfizer 90% effective rate. Probably need to vaccinate around 70% population then consider overall safe from Covid)

QUOTE(ssajnani @ Dec 22 2020, 01:46 PM) I guess with this reply it means no. A simple no would have suffice. For everything dont need to be a c*nt. Thank you. Calling people c*nt for answering your query. A simple look at frontpage or Maybank website will get you the answer. Roll along snowflake

QUOTE(thilak833 @ Jan 18 2021, 11:03 AM) Apparently, only Maybank cards are allowed for Shopee or Lazada 0% instalment schemes. I don't have a Maybank card as of now. Keen to know what's the catch on this and why haven't other banks follow their steps? Anything from Maybank CC users? Maybe coz Maybank is willing to sacrifice a bit of margins and lower its fees? At the end, it's up to arrangements made between banks with Shopee/Lazada.

QUOTE(realityyffr @ Feb 27 2021, 03:59 PM) Does it matter which cars I use to get the points? Visa or the amex reserve? Thanks, just want to be sure since I just got the card Nope. TP earned is the same value. Just that Amex is 5x TP for most transactions (but not all merchant accept Amex), while Visa is 2x only. A way to get 5x for Visa is spend when MU win PL games

QUOTE(realityyffr @ Feb 27 2021, 07:10 PM) Thanks for the answer but my visa infinite is the one without the logo, means no X5 for MU winning right? if it's the normal VI, then no. if you got a lot of spending that can't swipe with Amex, maybe it's worthwhile for you to request for MUVI

QUOTE(TheLegend27 @ Mar 6 2021, 11:15 AM) just wondering this: 10k TP = RM25 10k TP = 2000 miles. if 1 miles = 2 cents, then 10k TP = 2000 miles = RM40 QUOTE(MiKE7LIM @ Mar 6 2021, 05:52 PM) okay... thanks.seem like pay via cash is better than redeem TP to offset it isn't 2 cents per mile a bit low? I think even on economy class is more like 4 cents?

QUOTE(TreassureHunter @ Mar 18 2021, 10:26 PM) Is it normal transaction with MU card will earn me 2x TP except for those gov, e wallet, utility related? Daily grocery will earn 5x Tp? How is mechanism of MU win? Towards grocery and normal spending? Normal transaction - 2x Grocery - 5x (but normally can pay with Amex anyway) 1x - Insurance, Education, Utilities 0x - Govt, E-wallet MU win - your normal 2x transaction got bonus and become 5x. 1x transaction maybe get, but not confirmed. Govt, e-wallet is 0x regardless

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 23 2021, 02:36 PM) How should I extend AM miles' validity without actually spending it? I don't have intention to add more miles into AM. I will have 100k miles expiring in September... Do I have other option? is this 100k miles under the new validity rules? If so, just convert the minimum amount and it's good.

QUOTE(ZombieLand @ Jun 27 2021, 10:30 PM) I am buying a big ticket item (around RM70k) but there is merchant charge of 1.5% if use AMEX or other credit cards. Just wonder is it worth it to make the payment using credit card or I should just pay by cash/bank transfer? if can get 5x TP, with a bit of surcharge, then go for it
