Just to make sure we are on the same page:

MBB card = almost 9k statement balance. Over the card limit of 8k
Other card = almost 3k statement balance. still under limit of 3k

I cant borrow from friends and family any more as i has borrowed for my other monthly commitment. I have never been in this situation before as i followed the payment plan strictly. But since the end of my contract, which caught me off guard, im unable to pay my debt as per normal. It was my mistake that i dont have much saving before.

I dont think i can delay the payment any longer until my 1st pay check.

Besides BT, anyone have info on converting CC debt into term loan?

Call MBB now and ask them to cancel your card and convert the balance to personal loan. You should do this because the finance charges and late fees per month should be quite close to your minimum payment per month. You should also do the same for the other card but if you really need it to give you some breathing room, make a budget for the barest essentials and pay off as much as you can until your income becomes more stable.

Tq for ur advice notworthy.gif.

Just to make myself clear, u mean convert all the balance to term loan right? Just make a call to their customer service and request for conversion? Did they require anything before approving my request? like payslip or such?

if u check in m2u or physical statement, the points are separated accordingly to where you earn the TPs, but you can redeem them as a whole lump sum.

for expiry, all TPs have 3yrs validity. refer here.

first expiration gonna happen in 31 July 2016.

Anyone here use your MBB Amex or MBB Mastercard in Singapore before?

If I'm buying things in Singapore, which card will have lower conversion rates?

I'm aware Amex has 5x reward points but their exchange rate seems higher. So which card will you use if you have to spent around 2k-3k SGD?

Amex don't have.

I'm still considering whether I should use AMEX for the 5x points.

I notice in the recent weeks, under M2U and Merchant receipt shows the TP combined for M2 AMEX, Visa Signature & Savings as one.

when you call the cs, the cc/saca number that you give them to check for points, will be used to redeem first, followed by other cc/saca, if the points are not enough. the same if you redeem at on-the-spot merchants, you need to give the cc/saca that you want to redeem first.

Visa Signature's TP can redeem hard cash while others cannot, so it should not be combining, something wrong on this I guess hmm.gif

Anybody used their AMEX to buy GSC tickets but transaction failed? Trying to make use of the RM10 per ticket AMEX promotion but kept on failed transaction.

Edit: hey my bad, the CVV code should be the 4 letter on the front instead of the 3 letter on the back, forgotten this property of an Amex card. Sorry all doh.gif

But then what's the usage of the 3 letter code at the back?

Income documents are important. If you cannot even furnish the docs are per their min requirement, then you can expect your application to have less chance. Be patient, work for 3 months to get your slips. Or produce other income documents.

just curious and this is general question. how much is bank charging merchant nowadays for credit card facility? I still see some merchants charging 2% if customers opt to pay with cc.
