This is what I ended up buying:
https://www.brainwavzaudio.com/collections/...-leather-angledWill let you know what's it like once I receive it and if it fits...fingers crossed.
Okay, I've finally received the pads and immediately encountered a problem; the pads don't come with the ring that attaches to the cans. I checked the compatibility page again and it didn't mention any need for separate adapters like they have for the HD600 series. In fact looking at the adapter they're selling I'm not sure it would fit on a game zero/one. So one option now is to cannibalise the ring from my old pads and glue it to the new one, though I'm currently researching/brainstorming other options before I resort to that method.
As for how the pads are like...well, I can't actually attach it to my cans properly (I simply took off the old pads and held the new ones in place using natural pressure from the headband alone) but they're comfortable enough. I can't really make a fair assesment without using it for extended periods.
Sound quality is comparable to my old aftermarket one, but I can't remember what the original pads sounded like, so I'm sorry I can't give much feedback here either. That said, overall I'm pretty satisfied with the comfort and sound quality (YMMV). Here's hoping it will last more than 2 years.
