hmm.. speaking from my experience, Glaco doesn't last long. I helped my friend to do everything. It lasted around 5 months on windscreen wiper area. and other windows are fading now.. still got beading effect, but not as nice as after apply.

The Glass Stain Cleaner, not sure whether it can remove those tough and stubborn watermarks or not. Need to ask members who used it before.
I've gotten the soft99 glass compound Z which works the same as per told by the sales there, RM 40 1 bottle from Autobacs, it cleans the oil film, but not the watermarks. So far, I used the AntiRain watermark remover (can be search in Automotive sales thread), and Osren watermarks remover, I felt both works alot better.

Glass Coating, I'm using coating agent from AntiRain, 1 year and 4 months now. There coating still as good as first apply. No watermarks were formed. But, I have my ride a weekly or bi-weekly car wash. So, it might be my periodic car wash that reduce the chance to let watermarks form on the glass.  thumbup.gif

How much is the anti rain coat bro? As i found soft99 ultra glaco is more durable than raimX , for the price 1 bottle can easily last u 3-4 year

If antirain isnt exp than i might give it a try

By the way u using the glaco or ultra glaco? Bcoz ultra glaco is reformula and my wife honda jazz already hit almost 10 month the coating stil there, but might not as strong as b4

Ultimate compound , highly recommend, don let the compound name scared u, when i first time learning polishing cream, compound will be a like heavy cutting for paint , in fact yes , but ultimate compound is meguiars created for consumer level, so its so so so safe to use , thx to gfwong sifu give me the confident to use UC happy.gif

I do some research on google recently and found that UC is actually in between m105 and m205, if m105 cutting level is 10/10, UC would be on around 6/10 while it can do nice finishing

While the UP , is actually just a polish to bring ur paint to gloss without really give u alot of cutting compared to m205 (m205 can refine 1000 sanding mark with few pass, i saw on youtube recently and susprise me)

So UC is very safe to use even with a DA , no worry about cut ur clear coat, as blurcase and other membe say , you wont be able to remove to clear coat by hand seriously, u have to worry more about marring if use hand with UC un-correctly technique

Ultra Glaco, the black bottle. Sure it last longer than RainX, but to me, still not great enough. The price and it is usable for 3-4 car is very good for its pricing.

I have my parents car (2 cars here, both for business usage) coated with Ultra Glaco. Front windscreen (note: it's the wiper area) is starting to faded after 5th month, but not totally gone, coating is still there. Side windows are performing better. But I am thinking to remove it and re-coat for better repellent effect, will still use the Glaco. Considering the price of Glaco, it's like RM 12 per coat for the whole car, super cost effective. Best is, it doesn't judder as much as RainX.  rclxm9.gif

AntiRain windows coating, cant really remember the price becoz the first time I bought together with watermarks remover. It's about RM 45 for the coating agent if not mistaken. Price is around the same with Ultra Glaco, but per bottle (10ML) it's only for 2 windscreen size. Lasted me more than a year and repellency is still top notch.
*
2 windscreen only , then can't even apply to other side window le sad.gif

normally u guys got coat all window include rear ? or just front windshield only

I have different experience with Osren glass coat as I applied on multiple cars with different driver profile.
- On my car, use wiper only necessary, it can last roughly 1 year and more.
- On my friend's car, definitely will use wiper when raining, the coating effect can last about 5 month.

But the thing is the effect is quite strong during the first month. After that, water repelling effect starts to diminish as time goes. I believe it's almost the same to the others coating.
Currently, I have osren glass coat on front windscreen (still working, about 7 months from application), glaco on backscreen (still on effect. About 9 month now since the application) and antirain coat on 4 side windows (this one last for more than 1 year on side window).
*
How much is the osren glass coat? I actually will reapply glass coat every 3-6 month even the repel stil strong , on my new car so far ultra glaco stil stand strong after near 5 month , after service my car then have to reapply , so far from windshield dont have water mark but rear windshield alot of water mark zzzz

chep microfiber towel, wash sampai edges de-threading
cheaper detergent, cause i dont pay for it. sis used to work in uniliver, dirt cheap staff price
tyre shine
too strong in fragance. yes, on interior can be used on plastic and vinyl.
but for light cleaning i always use onr.
osren fabric cleaner suds a lot
*
onr ? or u have any product to recommend for cleaning interior , just simply spray and wipe

i currently have meguiars interior quick detailer , but gonna run out soon , have to find maybe have other budget product , or else i will just grab another IQD , the IQD can actually last me over a year for 1 car de

mostly i will just wipe with damp cloth for weekly wash , for the IQD i will like Spray and Wipe once a month because i feel that it can give fresh smell and fresh touch on my surface , and can remove light oil and dirt that damp cloth can't remove

so any sifu here got any product to recommend smile.gif

Optimum no rinse. Very versatile product. As qd, as rinseless wash for droppings or clay lube.

Plastic part most important is applying protectant.
In a sense you want some oil, but not body oil la.
Dry plastic degrade faster under sun
Best way is to actually use a detailing brush and vacuum. Dust while vacuuming.
The steering, gear nobody and arm rest usually I just wipe down with onr and reapply the dressing while the rest I don't wipe ever so often
*
i do apply protectant , i using meguiars suprime shine , very lasting and no grease , maybe i just grab another Meg IQD as my monthly cleanining smile.gif i saw there is selling a gallon , but now learn don't want too greedy , because large gallon like this really hardly to finish for life then hand itchy try other product le

only car wash shampoo will consider to get gallon in future

so i just continue my same routine for interior biggrin.gif

The thing about washing microfiber is that more often than not, I submerge it in dynamo solution and wash it days later. If not, a week plus later.

Always comes out clean.

as long as don sun dry should be okey?

i actually keep my towel in my rear bonnet , will the heat destroy the microfiber ?

Fusso seems pretty good. What's its downside actually?
*
In my opinion , the only downside of this fusso 12 month is , it not shining enough compared to other wax in market

if u apply some MEG ultimate Liquid wax , or any high gloss wax , it will really shine ur car even u isn't polish nicely

So to make ur car really shining with fusso coat , u have to do full paint correction and ultra polish ur car shining , only apply the fusso coat biggrin.gif

Really thank to sifu bluecase , johari , gfwong , because u guys let me learn that , the car shining isn't really come from wax , it's about paint have been corrected and polish , so the surface is flat without swirl and scratch , then paint will automatic look good

this is my car with fusso coat , it really look like coating effect biggrin.gif

My hard work after 3 week of polish panel by panel , stil got roof havent done , i wll try looking for shinemate mini DA 3inch backing plate to polish tight area for my wife jazz , as the 15mm DA tend to stall in curve area vmad.gif

Scare cant handle rotary, feel DA is more safe, as i only use at my own new car, didnt plan to do for ppl car hehe , mostly use for light polish

Rotary isnt as scary as ppl make it out to be. For those with totally no experience with machine polishing then should start with DA, but once u get the hang of DA, then learning DA is easier.

Main thing to remember about rotary polishing is surface heat. If u touch the panel and it almost burn your finger then it is too hot and time to stop and move to next section.
*
haizzz , i think i stil end up just grab a mini DA , because i see mostly the panel i wan polish can fit with the 3inch DA , more confident with DA biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Yes, the velcro part is the first.
Then it would be the contact part of the pad with the paint.
Maybe it's product nature but it tends to widen the pores and cracks it up. See if i can get a picture of it soon or not. Now so hot lazy polish la

But it is good to know that burning through clear coat is quite difficult even with rotary...
*
from my understanding , mostly ppl burn the paint at the edge but not the middle of the paint , i do see henry video tutorial , when he reach or going to polish edge of panel , he will slow down the speed of rotary , then raise it again when polish back middle panel

Ah if edges of velcro starts first then usually its due to pad sponge bigger than backing plate, so when u lean the pad sideways or put too much pressure on the pad when polishing it starts to grind the velcro edges.

For the contact part of the pad to the paint, I am guessing its probably more of a wear and tear. No pads last forever, even the expensive ones will degrade over time.

Hahaha, yes, I also lazy to start my next detailing project for now cuz of the hot weather. Nowadays even prefer to wash car at night cuz its cooler.
Agreed. There is a big variety of clearcoat types in the market, quite hard to gauge, so its always a trial and error with each different car.
May I ask if your polishing is done by hand or machine? And also whether do u compound each time before polish? Do u recall how many times u have compounded and polished your car?

There are specialty bug and tar removers that u can try to remove tree saps issue fairly easily. You can try that first.

I would prefer to suggest that regardless of whatever protection u apply for your car, more importantly please try to avoid parking under trees. I understand our tropical climate is hot so shade is always nice, but because tree sap and bird poop tends to drop from trees, they tend to bake into the paint with the heat.

If you want to speed up waxing time, u can actually get a DA polisher, then use a butter knife to scrape your paste wax and lay on your DA pad and apply wax that way. It definitely speeds up the waxing process.
*
haha , i also wash the car and polish my car at the night time , day time really very hot !!! Just wanna start and prepare whole thing , already sweat whole shirt bangwall.gif mad.gif

normally bug and tar remover will remove include wax?

Durable means a coating which can last 1-2 months at least. I have tried Meguairs ultimate liquid wax and quik wax both last 1-2 weeks only with almost no water beading and slickness. I am ok with any recommended durable self-service coat/sealant/wax as long as it lasts 1-2 months.
*
Nothing can beat soft99 fusso coat 12 month price ans durability i believe in the market happy.gif , do check lazada it selling for rm51-65 only include postage

1 tin i think can last u maybe 4 year ?
