QUOTE(mainFrame @ Jan 24 2007, 11:41 AM) This is the current standings as at 22 January 2007. Class ------- warrior - 4 confirm, 4 undecided. priest - 2 confirmed, 6 undecided. shaman - 3 confirmed, 1 undecided. druid - 2 confirmed, 2 undecided warlock - 1 confirmed, 5 undecided rogue - 5 confirmed, 2 undecided. paladin - 5 confirmed. 6 undecided hunter - 8 confirmed mage - 8 confirmed, 5 undecided Race -------- Orc - 2 confirmed, 1 undecided. Troll - 2 confirmed, 2 undecided. Blood Elf - 21 confirmed, 10 undecided Tauren - 4 confirmed, 5 undecided Undead - 2 confirmed, 6 undecided. total (roughly) = 64. There is a lot of confirmation and changes since then. but i can confirmed to u that we have LOADS of blood elves now. but what we over supply in terms of class is yet to be determined. but it is conformed that we are really really short of druids and shammy, race is orc and trolls. we will post further information perhaps in 3 days to confirm our race/class distributions. |

congratulations LoTHarians! we are officially launch. as off last night, we already have a total of 67 members with 64 unique accounts. highest online was 37 members. Average online is 22. Thank you for all the support. we hope that the support continues. below is the number of race and class that we currently have in the guild.
Race -------- Warrior - 7 Priest - 8 Hunter - 11 Druid - 5 Warlock - 7 Shaman - 2 Paladin - 7 Rogue - 6 Mage - 8 Clearly from the list shows that we are seriusly lacking with shaman. we need at least another 5 to make it balance. we would like to add 1 more warrior, 1 more druid and 1 more warlock. hunter application is still accepted but really not reccommended at this point of time. So for those who wants to join the guild can consider choosing the class that we are lacking. On another note, we are really, really, really short of orcs, troll and undead. we have bloadssss of BE. so if u want to roll race other then BE is very much welcomed. but if u still prefer BE, we are not gonna stop u. |

Just to highligt again our class distributions as of 24th jan 07:-
Warrior - 7 Priest - 8 Hunter - 11 Druid - 5 Warlock - 7 Shaman - 2 Paladin - 7 Rogue - 6 Mage - 8 QUOTE(Tentris @ Jan 25 2007, 10:12 AM) what level is ur hunter? most of us are very low level so if u transfer i high level hunter it would be boring for u to wait for us. u will most probably be our quest runners most of the time until we even our level. QUOTE(bontotalan @ Jan 25 2007, 11:16 AM) nitrofang i will start playing but by mid-march can i still join the guild by that time no problem u can join us at that time. making orc/warlock QUOTE(julia88 @ Jan 25 2007, 02:34 PM) Since we are short on warlocks....I will transfer over from priest to warlock. Only lvl3 so I wouldn't "sakit hati" if I change over. its ok if u want to maintain as a priest. we will recruit others to feel in the gap.Oh yeah, my cousin will be playing most of the time. cheers |

QUOTE(bontotalan @ Jan 25 2007, 06:21 PM) I would gladly buy that thing today, but it seems that i'll be going to vacation on 31st january to 4th febuary and 1st to 10th march , so it will be a waste if buy now i cannot comment on class specifics for u. u will have to try it for urself. to me, any class can be a good pvp as long as u know how to play ur class. as for leveling up, u dont have to be worry for being left behind cause we are casual guild so some of us will level at a slow pace. u can play with them when u come back.I never played WoW b4 nitrofang, do you know orc/warlock is a good pvp-er or not , i did some reasearch and it say it is good does anyone know, when the streamyx line wasn't this bad, what was the ping? when i come back from my vacation in march, i'll play the trial for 10 days until level 20 and then upgrade my account, can anyone help me level by then? |

QUOTE(lexasp @ Jan 26 2007, 02:43 PM) QUOTE(mainFrame @ Jan 26 2007, 03:19 PM) orc shaman soloing in mulgore for now coz im a bit too low level to join everyone else atm... it is strongly adviced that u quest together with guild members. In this way u can get used with each other game style and it will be easy once we reach end game instances. what i use to do when i was in my previous guild is that i would have a group of members that level and quest together all the way up to 60. if im too slow and my other member is too fast, i will eventually landed with other groups which level at the same pace with me. But dont worry if u find your self questing alone at the early stage. that is normal and usually u are alone until about level 14. but expect that u gonna have members after that level.my orc lari from hometown to tauren land at level 2 coz wanna earn rep points for a BIG STRONG KODO... |

hi ppl. some heads up on our guild development.
the guild is progressing well. members of the guild are leveling in groups. we already have a lot of 20s, 30s, and some 40s already. i am especially glad to see that the guild members is working and questing together. this is a very good indicator that we are going to be a successful, long term casual guild. there are many ppl in community who show keen interest in joining LoTH. we intend to recruit further, but before we do, we are currently conducting sampling and gathering data of average class distributions online in the guild. once we have the data by end of this week, the officers will discuss on which class and their numbers that we need. there are some imbalance in the class distributions and we are addressing it. we will inform of which class we need by next week. thank you for your patience. |

we have discussion regarding this matter among the officers that day. there are a few concern ppl who wish to join the guild but thinking that it might not be a good idea as it seems that the guild is moving towards a 'hardcore' characteristics. this is actually a huge misunderstanding. let me just recap on what i stated earlier and the most important characteristics of the guild.
1) casual 2) progressive. focus at this 2 points at the moment. when we said casual AND progressive, we meant that this guild is taking time to level at their own pace while progressing toward the objective (i.e end game instances and PVP). NOT casuals as in hi my name is casuals and i parked my nick here while i go play my main and thats the last time we see him/her. we are casuals in terms of the number of hours we commit in the game, which in this case, much lesser hours and liberal as compared to hardcore. let me just break this up into groups so u guys can properly understand. 1) casuals who dont give a damn ---> 2) casual raiders (this is LoTH) ----> 3) hardcore (must attend every raid on weekend and weekdays) ----> 4) ultra elite. (omfg u dont log in 4 hours u are gkick!) later as the guild progress we find that hey there are actually a lot of casual raiders (woking ppl, students, nubies, rerolls etc) which really suit the guild characteristics and we need to put some form of the rules, strategy, plan, idea, guide, in place to maintain the guild development. so dont confuse the word casuals as in casual guild that dont give a damn of the guild development. guild harmony and development is actually our major focus. bottomline is, we are a casual guild, but we still have proper plan, rules and strategy in place so that every casuals out there who are unable to commit the requirement of a hardcore guild can still enjoy the game. thats why u join LoTH... without going mental. i hope this clear some of the misunderstandings. overtime, we may change some rules here and there but let me stress that we strive to maintain the guild as casuals as much as we could even there is changes in ruling, strategy, plan, etc. like recently, we change the rules from 'u can join guild and we will not remove u' to ' we will remove u if u did not log in xx month'. does that make us a hardcore guild? no. it actually makes us a guild with plan and strategy. regarding recruitment, as i stated earlier, we need to balance the distributions of class so that everybody is happy. we cannot simply accept ten million hunters. that will hurt the other hunters. and problem will arise when we reach the stage we want to raid if we have to many of certain classes. we are working on collecting samples and data every 2 hours or so to check the average online class so that we can determine which class we need in the future. this is one of the strategy we put in place so that everyone have fun today AND the future. recruitment is freez at the moment but we will open it back soon once we gather the data, which will be completed very soon. Thank you. |

QUOTE(saingau @ Feb 9 2007, 12:21 PM) I understand this is an in-guild issue, but since its shared with the community in LYN, I would like to share some advice with you guys. thank you saingau for the very useful and comprehensive suggestions. thank you too for those who give the useful input to us. on behalf of loth, we apologize for the misunderstanding created earlier. CASUAL V RAIDER Litany of Fury used to have similar problems to what you guys had when we started. What we did to solve this issue was to split the guild ranks into the following... based on the numerous suggestions and opinions, we are now sorting out the guild in terms of 1) recruitment policy 2) identifying raiders and casuals. we almost reach the final decision and we will announce it soon. Added on February 11, 2007, 7:44 pmAs promised, we have sort out our rank and chain of command hierarchy. 1) Commander (nitrofang) 2) 2nd in Command (valkyrie) (take over commander work if commander not around) 3) Vice Commander-1 ( shaderx, rantic, raichu) (promote, demote, ginvite, gkick, discipline officer) 4) Vice Commander-2 (create for backup plan) 5) Officers (sophiera, babynut) (forum, board mod, scout, class leader, raid leader) 6) Elite Raiders - >85% raid attendance 7) Casual Raiders - >65% raid attendance 8) Casual Peon - <65% raid attendance, including Alts. 9) Overthrown-Peon. (bad discipline). We hope that with this implementation, we can identify members guild commitment effectively. in a related development, we are happy to announce that we are opening back our recruitment for new members who wish to join in our family. We are currently accepting all class EXCEPT hunters and rogue. Please visit our forum at loth.clans.net or the first post of this thread to get information regarding this guild. QUOTE(Tentris @ Feb 12 2007, 06:07 PM) X = 2-3 scheduled raids a week, 3-4 hours per raid. Weekday raids will be probably 8.30pm onwards, weekend raids on Sunday evening. well we have not determine how many raid we gonna do yet since the guild is not organizing any raid. but assuming what tentris wrote above is true, and to answer seen questions, based on the schedule above, there will be 12 raid a month. if u make 8 raid out of 12, therefore1 month = 8 raid attendance out of 12. = 66% which is >65% raid attendance. you are considered as = casual raiders. if u attend 11, u are considered elite raiders (>85%). but i suspect we only have like 2 or 3 ppl in this category. below then 7 is considered casual peon and i think the biggest group is in this category. |
