Should be fine if you only add a GTX750Ti, you can swap to FSP Hexa+ 400/450W or Corsair VS450 for more headroom though.

You need to refine the definition of "max settings", this includes max AA (MSAA 8x), Nvidia GameWorks (if got) etc, this is very hard to guarantee even on high end GPU if the game is poorly optimized for PC hardware.

Intel Core i5 6500 - RM 815
Asus H110M-K - RM 273
Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 133
Sapphire R9 380 4GB GDDR5 Nitro - RM 955
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
Seasonic S12II 620W - RM 303
TP-LINK TL-WN881ND PCIe WiFi - RM 65
Corsair Carbide 88R - RM 226

Total: RM 2985 (ETech price inclusive of GST)

AMD Polaris GPU is coming soon, if you aren't in a rush then please wait for it instead.

quick question for the sifus here..
most of the time it is a waste of money to buy performance rams if you don't intend to OC, right? I recall reading something along those lines many years back, not sure if it's still a valid statement ?

If speed is a concern, you have to choose Seagate Barracuda.

In mainstream HDD war, it's basically WD Blue's 5400 RPM vs Seagate Barracuda's 7200 RPM with the later one being the clear winner.
*
I was reading a lot of reviews on the high failure rates of the Seagate Barracuda though? Is that still a problem?

Yes most of the time, performance RAM is clocked higher than the base clock of the RAM module, if you aren't using a compatible mobo (Z series for example), then you won't be able to take advantage of the speed, everything will be downclocked to the base clock that the mobo can support (2133MHz for DDR4 for example).

If you are getting a DDR4 performance RAM with a clock speed of 2133MHz then you better off with 2133MHz Value RAM instead, the difference is negligible.

That's for 3TB version early this year, 2TB should be fine, I haven't had any of my Seagate HDD failed on me though.

Intel Core i7 6700 - RM 1273

Kingston 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 135

Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD - RM 205
Corsair VS450 - RM 162
Armageddon T2x - RM 109

Total: RM 2642 (Techview price inclusive of GST)

I assume you only need a so-called "good graphics card" for your task (CUDA), either top up the rest of the money or downgrade to 4th gen (slightly cheaper).

If you straight plug in the HDD to the new mobo, most of the time it will work, but driver update might be needed and your Windows activation will be revoked due to different S/N of the mobo.

If your Windows key is OEM based then you need to get a new key because OEM key is permanently tied to the first registered mobo (your old mobo in this case), if you are using a retail version of Windows, then just find your current retail key and insert the key into the system and you are good to go.

A HDD format is always recommended for new hardware installation especially with CPU and mobo upgrade.

Hi sifu.

I am currently working with blender software. My rig spec as specify in my signature.

What should i upgrade to have better experience with blender? Kind of maya software?

Is it upgrading the ram and ssd enough? Or only ram?

Budget lowest possible.
