Are you using AMD FreeSync compatible GPU? If yes then the additional FreeSync feature will benefit you.

Nope, R9 270 doesn't support FreeSync.

FreeSync helps smoothen the display and remove the screen tearing etc.

If you buy a FreeSync monitor and pair it with Nvidia GPU or an AMD GPU that doesn't support FreeSync, it will still work like a normal monitor, you just cannot take advantage of the main purpose of the monitor. Just go with another monitor since your GPU is not FreeSync compatible.

Including monitor?

5 years is hard to guarantee, but if you have enough tolerance (when your system is getting outdated, maybe in 4th or 5th years) then it should be fine.

[Budget] RM3000 MAX (income tax limit)

[Purpose] hardcore gaming, game like The Divison, Ark:Survival Evolved

[Hardwares that will be re-use] monitor, speaker, keyboard and mouse will reuse. Will reuse power supply of 500W, cooler master cooling kit, tower as well.

Preferably GPU that can support 3 monitors like those used in racing game \_/

Knowing Polaris is in horizon, what build i can get in the meantime while i wait for it to come? Anyone know the price range? I'm thinking maybe I can get a GPU that can run this 2 games on optimal/playable no lag setting before i bankrupt myself for Polaris cards.

thank you.

I need to know the exact model of your current PSU.

Spanning across 3 monitors requires a powerful GPU as the resolution will be bumped by 3 times (assume you use 3 FHD monitors), your budget can mostly fit a GTX960/R9 380 (current gen) so you need to tune down the settings by a lot to maintain a playable frame rate.

If i remember correct mine should be Cooler Master Elite V2 550W.(Please do intro one if you see fit)

I dont have preference for Intel or AMD system if i can get extra juice out for my game performance and graphic.

Sorry the 3 monitors is optional, not necessary to full screen on all 3 for gaming. Good to have options(have 3 different brand monitor with various size) i like to stream youtube/netflix on 1 side and gaming on another.

Ok, if you can tolerate with low settings then you can save the money and use the iGPU that comes with the CPU to play those mentioned games, if cannot then you can go for a cheap GTX750Ti (~RM 500), but bear in mind the performance difference between iGPU (HD 530) and GTX750Ti is not not that significant only, GTX750Ti is around 30% faster (depend on games).

Intel Core i5 6500 - RM 815
Gigabyte B150M-D3H (D4) - RM 403
Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 133
Zotac GTX750Ti 2GB GDDR5 Single Fan - RM 489
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215

Total: RM 2055 (ETech price inclusive of GST)

I heard that income tax rebate on PC purchase requires full set (including case & PSU), I am not 100% sure on this, but you can check this yourself, just an advice for you.

Rumors suggest that AMD is targeting mid end market, so I guess the price of Polaris should be around 1k - 1.8k if it is true, but it is just an estimation afterall.

High graphics settings is very hard to guarantee with this specs because the 144Hz monitor has already taken a large sum of your budget, so I can only fit the lowest end i3 + GTX960 with the rest of the budget.

Intel Core i3 6098P - RM 432
Asus H110M-K - RM 273
Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 133
Asus GTX960 4GB GDDR5 Turbo - RM 946
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 188
Tecware Alpha - RM 189
BenQ XL2411Z - RM 1113

RAM and mobo can keep, any mobo is good enough for gaming, those so-called gaming grade mobo do not contribute to frame rate.

Just change the CPU to i5 6500, don't get 6400 because it is almost similar with 6402P except with a faster iGPU only.

If you need 4 RAM slots then change to B150 chipset.
