[Requirement] support dual monitors(using 1 now but add second in future) and pink color casing if possible smile.gif

[Hardwares that will be re-use] Monitor (U2414H Dell), keyboard and mouse

[Monitor resolution] Im using IPS U2414H Dell monitor

[Games & softwares that use frequently] Dota2, CSGO and accounting (Autocount)

Thank you! notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

There is no pink color case in the local market currently, even if there is, it is quite hard to find one, unless you order from overseas and get it shipped to here but cost might be an issue.

Intel Core i5 6400 - RM 796
MSI B150M Bazooka (D4) - RM 409
Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 168
Palit GTX950 2GB GDDR5 StormX - RM 699
Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB SSD - RM 209
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
Seasonic S12II 520W - RM 283
Thermaltake Versa H25 - RM 185

Total: RM 2964 (ETech price inclusive of GST)

If you are planning to play other games especially triple A titles, then you can consider upgrade the GPU to GTX960/GTX970/R9 380/R9 380X for better performance.

Budjet : 3k,including monitor (prefer 23") and cheap peripherals.

Purpose : Gaming

Wondering if this budjet enuf to build some good rig. hm suggest please.thanks
*
3.5 - 4k would be more ideal as you need monitor and peripherals which aren't cheap nowadays. But anyway I suggest a rig based on 3k for the time being.

Intel Core i3 6100 - RM 496
Gigabyte H110M-DS2 (D4) - RM 289
Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 168
Asus GTX960 4GB GDDR5 Turbo - RM 927
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 188
Bitfenix Nova - RM 149
BenQ GL2460 - RM 510
Logitech MK200 Wired Combo - RM 63

Total: RM 3005 (ETech price inclusive of GST)

Similar doubt here. Let say i3 replaced with i7, is FSP Hexa good enough and usable for future upgrade or should get something better like Seasonic S12II 520W - RM 283.
*
In average locked i3 vs locked i7 during max load, i7 draws extra 30W from the wall so it is still feasible.

If budget allows, go for Seasonic M12II EVO 620W, RM 363 from ETech, if no then just stick with FSP Hexa+ for the time being.

WTA whether this spec is fine or any suggestion for any hardwares with the same price to put in ?

i7 - 6700
Asus B150 MA
Kingston 2133 (4x2)
Asus Strix GTX960 2GB
WD Blue 1TB
Silver Stone Bronze 600W

and does GTX960 4GB which have extra vram helps in rendering softwares ?
*
For 1080p video, 2GB is fine, unless you are talking about serious 4K content, focus more on system RAM, get 16GB if possible, some rendering software will take all your memory during rendering process and leave you behind with a laggy PC which you cannot even use browser normally.

For the 2nd one, if i replace hexa 550w with seasonic one is that to add the ssd , will that be workable?
*
Not recommended to do so as R9 390 is high in power consumption and Hexa series is a low-to-mid end grade PSU only, even though it will work on your system but not worth to risk it, if anything goes wrong, prepare to bangwall.gif

What is the differences of gtx 970 and r9 390. And is it worth the upgrade?
*
It is actually not an upgrade, they are performing neck to neck and are considered as same tier GPU.

GTX970 has much lower power consumption and this allows you to run it on a cheaper PSU, the drawback is its VRAM which is 4GB vs R9 390's 8GB, but for 1080p, 4GB is more than enough nowadays, only some games are using > 4GB VRAM if you turn all the graphics settings to max especially texture and environment quality, it also outperforms R9 390 in GameWorks enabled games.

While R9 390 is considered more "future proof" due to the extra 4GB VRAM but consumes more power and you need to spend more money to get a decent PSU to run it, if you compare the raw performance between them, R9 390 will have slight edge.

So.. what does extra vram do haha. And u said performance wise r9 390 will have slight edge, is it noticeable tho?
*
VRAM is like your system RAM, but it is for GPU to store framebuffer and necessary info to render/display on the monitor.

It is noticeable in some games, i.e. Far Cry Primal, R9 390 produces around 20% more frame rates than GTX970 on 1080p (but GTX970 is still managed to hit 60 FPS in average so that's not really a big deal if you are playing this game on 1080p 60Hz screen), this happens only if the game is unbiased to any camp and is well optimized for all GPU, like the recently released Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Windows Store, it runs badly on AMD card, some reports saying it is due to Nvidia GameWorks (HBAO+) settings which is not disclosed or stated clearly in the games description, this is the time when GTX970 shines.

Hey guys need suggestion for gaming rig

The budget includes monitor as well

BUDGET: 6.5k

PURPOSE: Gaming - Needs to be able to play games at ultra @ 1080p for the next 2-3 years (if that is even possible)

Prefer OC. Plan to get at Idealtech for their after sales services and OC

Thank you!
*
What settings you can run is depend on the optimization from the games developers, there is no guarantee it will run well at ultra settings even you own the strongest GPU in the world if the game is badly coded.

Non-related-but-somewhat-related-topic

Anyone bought from Etech before?? Want to ask your experience and whether if the shop is 'legit' or not. Thanks! Planning to spend RM9k so must be extra careful
*
I have dealt with them many times already, they are definitely legit, they have a physical shop in Kepong, you can pay a visit to them if you want.

Most of the parts of my main rig are bought from them.

comments as in compatibility etc.

No compability issue there, everything is alright.

As for RAM, you can consider getting a higher frequency one (i.e > 3000MHz), jumping from base clock of 2133MHz to 2400MHz gives you a very tiny difference only FYI, too hard to notice in real life usage.

Hi sifus. I have a doubt here. Why there is no Asus motherboard in suggestion list? So far I have seen Gigabyte & MSI only.
*
Normally for low & mid budget build (< 4k), I won't recommend choosing Asus mobo due to their pricing issue, it is better to dump the money onto other parts for best price/performance ratio.

Reference : i7 proc needed, is i5 sufficient for multi tasking ? or Xeon ? Quadro GC ?

Hardware : Pls include monitor, keyboard and mouse, dvd writer

Location : Penang

Pure workstation, TQVM

Low end Quadro or FirePro isn't as strong as normal consumer grade (GeForce/Radeon) GPU, since you are budget doesn't allow high end workstation GPU so just go for consumer grade GPU now.

Skylake Xeon requires C232 chipset workstation mobo at which its price isn't cheap, so i7 + H110 combo is more worth.

Your PSU has 42A on 12V rail (504W), conclusion is yes, can support R9 390.
