Recently bought a nendoroid from Amiami, and did not kena LVG. I suspect only companies registered with kastam will kena LVG; although the parcel from them maybe no need to go thru kastam inspection (like Shopee).

If there is LVG, usually it will be charged during payment.

i also bought some stuffs from japan <RM500 ,I was expecting to get stopped but it was cleared and delivered to my home directly.

i recently buy a CD album from animate jp and ship to malaysia using proxy shipping service.The whole item include shipping was <500 but still kena custom tax as i asked via livechat because no status update. And i choose to let poslaju agent handle it so email to them but they say my item was no detained by custom. But when i received my item i see a stamp of "ditahan oleh kastam" and "opened for kdn checking"

Hi, wanted to ask anyone regarding experience with Surface Shipping from AmiAmi.

- How long is the waiting time?
- How is the condition of the parcel?
- And do you get taxed if the total if over RM500?

I think for the third question, no matter which shipping method you choose, you will get taxed when the total price is over RM500. Not sure did Pos Laju handle surface shipping or not, cause I only experienced EMS and Air Parcel which both are handled by Pos Laju when it arrived Malaysia, and I always let them to help me paid the tax.

May i know how much they charge for helping paid the tax?And do you need pay tax for total price below rm500?

Looking at my invoices, they charged RM30 for the agent fee.

For the total price lower than RM 500, usually you won't get charged. I didn't get charged at least on my previous purchases.

i recently deliver item from japan using DHL,the item around rm380 and shipping around rm80,and i have been taxed and ask DHL, they tell me my parcel value total is rm700 and the receipt show that my freight value,which is shipping cost was rm320. And they say custom have their own calculation but i dont understand how it become rm320. My item only around 300gram even calculate with volume weight also around 600gram only.Anyone have experience regarding this

Ship from JP using DHL always higher price shipping where go rm80 for DHL shipping , using ems shipping is cheaper.

What i mean is the actual shipping fee i paid is around rm80 just that because custom think is rm320 so total value become >rm500 then kena taxed. I use JPgoodbuy for proxy shipping.

Also the fastest exprience with DHL is 2 day from Japan to delivered my house in kuching,sarawak

No matter you are buying from HobbySearch or AmiAmi, you will only need to pay import tax if the total value is exceeding RM500. For EMS or air parcel, you will need to contact pos laju to check the total fee need to pay to clear the parcel. Normally it should be 10% of the total value of the parcel, this will depends on the invoice that you have submitted. Plus if you appointing Pos Laju to pay on behave on you, you will need to pay extra agent fee too. For me, I done it through online.
