Now anything above RM500 or 18SX figure i will choose to send to Spore and then carry back to msia. Cos in Spore above SGD$400 then only kena tax. some more sg post office is more efficient and they take care of your parcel. So far i never received dented box in Sg.

That's the thing with Customs... things are pretty arbitrary. Not only Malaysian customs, but customs all over the world.

Mine 2 big box i took by hand they scanned and pass without even asking..... my fully stuffed backpack they ask me not to put in scanner.

Sending to SG might be a good idea.... I drop by singapore regularly but I almost never go via land... so flying in from sg to msia still end up back to square one..

Backpack they rarely ask to put in scanner. But boxes and luggage bag somewhat mandatory. They will only ask you to open if the scanner show suspicious shapes. In my case last year they detected my Freeing 1/4 Hayate because can see human shape from the scanner (Hayate is in standing pose) but did not detect the sitting 1/4 Elizabeth Mably next to Hayate (they only noticed her after I opened the box)

Griffon last released a figure at around year 2013, october, after that they focused on anime production. Suspended figure-making for about 2 years before revealing new products last year - under a new name, Grand Toys. Yes, we don't know anything about Grand Toys yet because every single figure by them now are on preorder, none have been released, can't judge the quality. What I do know:

1. It is still Griffon.
2. Akeno and Rias never received any decent high quality figures in the first place (if you exclude those giant 1/4 scales by FREEing), all the previous versions by Griffon or other companies are also average at best.
3. Despite being average products, some Rias and Akeno figures became rare and highly valued in the aftermarket.

Based on these 3 facts, it's up to you to decide. They may not be very good, which is what Im predicting, but I dont think Rias and Akeno will get any excellent figures made in the near future either so it is likely that these figures will retain their value or even shoot up in price after release. It's up to you whether you are willing to pay for average products at this point.

So far I buy until RM700+ also no problem, from personal experience lah
But nowadays if i want expensive figure i just order from NipponYasan and ask them to underdeclare

Its a pain sometimes your fav anime/manga etc doesnt get any love from the figure market...

Just like my Overlord... cannot get any decent figure except those nendroids (damn hard looking for them in jepun also)...

They spoilt her "necklace"... its suppose to be a thin dew like thing... instead it now looks like some cage armor ala MadMax

But overall its the "best" Overlord figure thus far.....

Finally receive my parcel 2 days ago. Took almost 3 weeks to deal with the problem, the longest dispute I ever had with Pos Malaysia.

Seems my parcel looks in a rough shape, even the box for the figure also no escape from damage. Dunno it got when shipping the shipment to Malaysia or from Bintulu pos branch. Should ask for more bubble warp


Luckily the figure inside are in really good condition. So its an OK for me.
I know somebody in here didn't really like the box for the figure got damage.


Her umbrella shaft made with metal & a bit hard to put in since it has to go trough her hair (really a small gap). Make sure not to rough when putting it on.
Her base was really soft like a pillow. Good to put any figure u want on it.
Took a quick shot with her. Really love the paint job & the detail.

Quite safe, so far haven't had any issues with damaged boxes...If you order early enough, they'll ship on the same day too...
Do note though, that there have been cases where they've sent out counterfeit stuff...I personally haven't faced any such issue, just thought you should probably know...

I also ordered Ram (and Rem), very cheap for something with excellent quality. Good Smile, 1/7 scale, 9000yen approx each. Can't say no, that's really cheap.
I wonder if GSC will make emilia too.
