QUOTE(b787 @ Mar 8 2016, 11:48 AM) Im planning to place my fund in the Maybank GIA. May i know if i will get full amount of the interest ? of part of it based on the Profit Sharing Ratio ? http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...al/ACC-Accounts"will"? that's guaranteed profit liao. for GIA, it's always PSR. so far my MBB 12mth promo GIA gotten 4% p.a., as well as few GIA eFD gotten exactly 4% p.a. profilt.

uplifted my MBB GIA-i 12-mth Promo Campaign, for property purchase d/p. fund was immediately credited to SA with profit (didnt count the rate). well, it's been fun with GIA-i. Now, doing placement with MBB GIA-i eFD instead.

QUOTE(leo_kiatez @ Apr 6 2016, 09:41 AM) Normally when they credit the 4% interest? 1st day of the month or after 1 month for monthly interest? exactly 1 month after placement.

QUOTE(filage @ Apr 11 2016, 02:41 PM) Now starting to doubt the Maybank eFD campaign. It is step-up FD. Only the final few months it will be 4-5%. What if OPR go down then? TnC says promo is subject to OPR revision, so then it may not be the promised effective rate after all? if no confidence, then dont put. that's why usually we prefer straightforward FD to lockdown the rate upon placement.

QUOTE(MGM @ Apr 11 2016, 04:56 PM) Can no longer open GIA-i account? dont be confused. last year's MBB GIA-i (over-the-counter) Promo 4.5% already ended. current, MBB eGIA-i (M2U) with indicative rate of 4.0% is still ongoing.

QUOTE(Nom-el @ Jan 12 2016, 03:55 PM) I agree that this info is very useful as well and should be included on the 1st page. I have taken the trouble to format it into a more readable format below and added some info into it: - Hope it helps. | Bank | Daily Limit | Fee | Remark | | Alliance Bank | 10,000 | 0.53 | | | PBB | 10,000 | 0.53 | 30,000 with SecureSign token | | OCBC | 10,000 | 0.53 | Currently no online IBFT available, can ONLY use ATM to perform IBFT | | Maybank | 30,000 | 0.53 | | | RHB | 30,000 | 0.53 | | | CIMB | 30,000 | 0.53 | | | UOB | 30,000 | 0.53 | Free for eAccount, 50K limit for GIRO | | AFFIN | 50,000 | 0.53 | | | HLB | 50,000 | 0.53 | | | HSBC | 50,000 | 0.53 | | | SCB | 50,000 | Free | | | AMBANK | 50,000 | 0.53 | | **separated the table from the quote tag since it breaks the table formatting** QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Apr 13 2016, 12:40 PM) Oh.. 50K..? Let's say if got 6 figure like 300K, then can use 6 times (6 x 50K = 300k) of FOC IBFT & IBG thru online banking on the same day..?

QUOTE(ronnie @ Apr 14 2016, 01:47 PM) I'm trying this too after reading on the "benefit". Is the benefit a bug or feature of MBB GIA-i ? definitely not a bug, but more of the "nature" of GIA-i itself.

QUOTE(yygo @ Apr 14 2016, 02:56 PM) but if amount <5k, you cannot set 1 month. have to set 2 mths and above. so the loop hole is <5k, set longer period, then take out 1 mth later still get 4%. i put 1k with 2 month tenure. withdraw after 3 days. prorated profit is still 4%. hence, it doesnt matter the tenure you put because m2u will prorate the profit back to you based on the days of placement. in short, interest is calculated in daily unit.
