QUOTE(HarpArtist @ Mar 30 2016, 12:09 PM) Then they will not have the mood to entertain us loh... very realistic mah.. QUOTE(ryansxs @ Mar 30 2016, 12:04 PM) Hong leong, RHB, UOB and Affin. In my opinion:Between them...which one you think its worth to open account? From the perspective of service, FD rate. Thanx (1) UOB (2) RHB (3) Affin --- offer competitive saving account rate, but AM bank True saver is still my first choice. OCBC smart saver is not so convenience to withdraw (4) HLB I just called UOB, 4.5% for 1 year FD, tomorrow is last day.. Hurry up... According to UOB, this 4.5% is not negotiable even with RM 500K offered from another customer, next coming UOB FD rate will go down.. This post has been edited by BoomChaCha: Mar 30 2016, 12:47 PM |

QUOTE(Pain4UrsinZ @ Mar 31 2016, 08:24 PM) this require fresh fund or not ? since most of my money in RHB i think i will go for this rather than transfer to other bank and register new account If you have existing fund in UOB or RHB, you need to top-up some fresh fund in order to use your existing fund to place new FD.. RHB requires approximately 20%, but need to double confirm with your RHB branch. If I remember correctly, one member said that he just added RM 100 fresh fund to renew his RHB FD.. About UOB, last time about 2 months ago, I was required to top-up minimum RM 5K fresh fund to my matured FD to renew new promo rate 4.4% for 1 year. I think RHB is more easy to negotiate than UOB in this area... This post has been edited by BoomChaCha: Mar 31 2016, 08:50 PM |

QUOTE(yygo @ Mar 31 2016, 09:42 PM) Oh.. your memory must be DDR5 64GB loh.. Wah.. RM 100 only..Because unker goat looks more leng chai ma.. QUOTE(HarpArtist @ Mar 31 2016, 10:10 PM) not for my experience at klcc branch. Really..? Are you talking about RHB..? I have a feeling that each RHB branch needs to hit the FD sales target. This is quite strange about your case.. Next time talk to the branch manager. RHB branch manager is sitting out side. QUOTE(adele123 @ Mar 31 2016, 10:38 PM) Hi... if you do remember, you can remove the two rhb promo that due to end today. And the old uob promos as well. Miss Adele.. I believe what you said was a true story..True story, I withdrew my promo fd from rhb... doubled up the amount the next day... and managed to get another promo rates. Seems like the rhb branch staff didn't bother to question. But actually you can do it on the spot, no need to wait until the next day, so that you will not lose 1 day interest.. I think now the new trend is that some banks allow FD depositors to top-up new fund to renew matured FD rather than need fresh fund from another bank..I hope all banks can practice this convenience way I was wondering does OCBC allow to top-up..? QUOTE(HarpArtist @ Apr 1 2016, 12:24 AM) yes rhb klcc. maybe their branch very good fd deposits...which i doubt since its always empty (compared to cimb and mbb) Yes, maybe KLCC branch has more FD depositors.. QUOTE(adele123 @ Apr 1 2016, 12:26 AM) I made a mistake, for transferring my fund to mbb only to know the promo ended... hence, one day wasted... I always call the bank first before I go there to make sure the FD promo is still available.Anyhow, some bank probably still more rigid in requesting new funds, not realising that they need to keep existing customers... Quick question, anybody tried getting promo rates on pbb fd using old funds? QUOTE(yygo @ Apr 1 2016, 08:01 AM) mi memory still so so. i was warned by one unker (he send pm to me) dun talk too much, if not one nice unker though with high blood pressure may ask for my naked pic and want to massage me in PM. Oh Really..? This is funny.. Ha Ha.. I know somebody wants to make jokes around but one day suddenly he get mad....!!! If cannot take joke then please do not make joke with other people lah... QUOTE(nexona88 @ Apr 2 2016, 10:47 AM) Simple, the government wants to give benefit to SSM, and secondly want to collect income taxfrom internet seller later.. So, the best 1 year FD rate is 4.3%? If to omit BR.. This post has been edited by BoomChaCha: Apr 2 2016, 11:50 AM |

QUOTE(gchowyh @ Apr 4 2016, 05:32 PM) Not yet gotten the answer, they said need 1 or 2 days time will let me know. Gary, Thanks for reminding this..Anyway, I am not ready also. SCB also needs a few days also to terminate my priority banking status before I can transfer out my $$ else they will charge RM 100 a month if I don't meet the AUM! After all my SCB FDs become mature, I will withdraw all FDs from SCB. How to avoid SCB to charge us RM 100 Or can we request to terminate our priority banking status before we withdraw our FDs..? So that we will not be charged RM 100.. Withdrew FD in RxB, happened in this afternoon: RHB staff: Mr. Boom, mahu withdraw ke? Duit ini nak pergi ke mana? Me: Duit ini untuk bayar housing loan RHB staff: Bukan nak pergi ke lain bank FD? Me: Bukan lah... RHB Staff: Jangan ah.. Jangan pergi ke lain Bank FD ah.. kita RxB sekarang ada FD promosi yang menarik, Kalau mahu letak FD, Mr. Boom boleh letak di sini uh.. Me: yeah.. yeah.. mesti, mesti.. QUOTE(yygo @ Apr 4 2016, 09:31 PM) unker boom, wat if fd say 50k belum matured. keep say rm5 in sa. they cannot deduct the rm100 lo. can ah? I guess as long as we maintain or keep the priority banking status, SCB will charge RM 100 if we below AUM. If put RM 5 in SA, maybe SCB can post a RM 100 bill to us..? I think the only solution is to close the priority banking account. Maybe the best timing to close is when we withdraw FD... This post has been edited by BoomChaCha: Apr 4 2016, 10:00 PM |

QUOTE(gchowyh @ Apr 4 2016, 11:57 PM) Wah, seems everything is better & more efficient in Penang. Thanks Gary for sharing this valuable info. No problems. My AUM has not gone below the minimum amount but I am already asking to change my status, better to be safe. I suppose on the day I really confirm my status changes to 'Normal' customer I will transfer out my $$. SCB is terrible, in the Priority Banking letter, it says can call up to cancel but when I called, the operator said will ask my RM to call me to confirm. Then when she called me (surprisingly didn't ask me to buy something) she confirmed but still need few more days to change my status to normal banking customer. I will do the same.. QUOTE(Remic @ Apr 5 2016, 11:07 AM) QUOTE(Remic @ Apr 5 2016, 11:47 AM) Dislike somebody just wants to show off and asking people to guess his wealth... But Remic just gave us his straight forward answer like this: To put RM 200K in CIMB to get 4.35%.. Quite salute and respect to Remic for sharing his FD info without reservation..
