Waiting my car for service @ sg besi. Damage rm310 for top up fully synthetic oil(rm230) n tyre rotation(rm80). At 1st i thought tyre rotation is included within the 3yrs free service program. Pffft
*
You could have got your tyres rotated in a tyre shop for much less than RM80. I'm sure it won't void your warranty. biggrin.gif

Don't know where you are from but in Klang I can get my tyres rotated for RM20.

right now, JPJ number running now is 3xxx, so is there any way to expedite the process ? im looking for 7xxx ...
*
You can buy numbers in advance but numbers issued will have to wait for the sequence to reach your number. If you don't want the hassle just pay RM310 to your SA to select number. That's the usual price they charge.

Can you PM me the current promo on the Mazda 3 hatchback please? Does the rumoured upcoming price increase apply to all variants?
*
Are you sure you want the hatchback? It's like paying the price for the HS but getting the GL specs for the hatchback.

I drove from PJ to Penang on half a tank of petrol. Average FC 5.5L/100km. Going at 120 - 130 km/h most of the time. Very economical for highway travelling.

When your avg speed increases you get better FC. It probably has less to do with the brand of petrol than how much city driving you were doing.

Yeah, most performance mods would void warranty. But don't you find the stock mapping very laggy? Always find that I have to rev above 3k-4k rpm if I want to accelerate to overtake.

Right now I barely need to rev that high. Its not that the car is more powerful after remapping, it just feels just smoother as power comes in quicker. Not to mention, no more speed limiter. lol.
*
Our M3 is good for overtaking when you are travelling at a decent speed like 80-90 km/h but not so responsive when you are starting off from standstill or going at low speed. In that case we have to rev the engine before the power comes after a slight lag. If the remap can give better response at low speed/low rpm I think it is worth it already. But how to test a remapped M3 before deciding? That is the problem.

No issue with smart tag and auto gate icon_rolleyes.gif

For me personally I like dark tint, but afraid of getting stopped by police or JPJ so I went for Diamond 6 coz it has the highest VLT.

My favourite were T4-40 actually rolleyes.gif

Before I do Diamond 6, I also got consider about Crystal 6 but the advisor told me the film colour are silver base and the VLT is 50%, so might get disturb by police or JPJ (although now they said front side mirror are 50% and back are 30%).. So to be safe, I go for Diamond 6 at the end lol
*
What film did they put for your front windscreen. It can't be Diamond 6 or Crystal 6 as those are security tints which you can't used for front. Their VLT also don't comply with JPJ if used for front windscreen.

I asked d

Diamond 6
Front n back is Llumar GOLD

Crystal 6
Front n back is Llumar Silver
And I already decided to get diamond 6 when I get my car later this week. Rm2.4k T.T
*
According to their Website Llumar Gold has VLT of 63% (TSER 43%) and Llumar Silver has VLT 57% (TSER 41%) so neither will comply with JPJ of VLT 70% for front windscreen. The only tint which may comply are AIR90 (VLT86% TSER 28%) or AIR80 (VLT 78% TSER 43%).

Even AIR80 probably won't comply as our glass is already slightly darkened.

However if your front windscreen don't look too dark to get through JPJ/police road block it's OK. Just be prepared to tear it off before Puspakom inspection when you sell your car.

In fact I think 90% of cars on the road don't comply with the front windscreen ruling. It's a choice between complying and getting poor TSER or not complying and getting decent TSER.

What happened to your tyre? You hit something or it's a defect? If defect you can go to SC and claim.

i'm going for CannyCool tint http://www.cannycool.com.my/Products.html once i get my car this weekend biggrin.gif
96k is not on the road, on the road should be 109k

if you use carlist make sure you sort the price from highest to lowest to see the accurate pricing
*
The CannyCool website doesn't mention TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejection) which is the most important spec. UVR and IRR are useless as there is no standard so manufacturers can base on a narrow band or just a single wavelength to give impressive figures.

Better go for the established brands, IMO.

Nice, looks alot better. I'm guessing every tune is different depends what you tell him. I just asked him for mine. Interested how other tuners are doing it too. As for mine, as far I can see, hardly effect FC.
*
There is no difference in torque or power below 4500 rpm. After 4500 rpm there is some increase in torque and power at the expense of richer air/fuel but it doesn't affect your FC because you hardly drive at such high rpm. If this is your dyno curve it doesn't explain the better pickup you say you are getting at low rpm.

There is no problem driving the car when the key has left the vicinity. The car is unable to re-start when the engine is off, that' all.

Anybody installed Raytech Ultra 70 on their Mazda 3 front windscreen? As our glass is originally slightly darkened is the result dark enough to attract JPJ attention? Is the vision still acceptable driving at night?

CASTSCREEN
1. Install castscreen receiver on Mazda Connect.
2. Install castscreen on Android.
3. Select > H264 > 800x600@160 > 1 Mbps > Server Mode > Start.
4. Plug in your Android with data & charging cable (not all cables can be used for data transfer) and done.
5. Here's a video.
6. This option does not need wifi.

*
The link for the Android app for Castscreen does not work. The one at Mazda3Revolution also doesn't work (same link). Can someone point me to a usable link to get the Android app?

Thanks.

Hi, I've just tested the links. All working fine.

Try just clicking on the link provided and not opening it as a separate tab.

It's working now, thanks. Must be due to bad connection on my part.

I'm sending my car in for tinting at Raytech tomorrow. Anything I should watch out for first? I certainly don't want to get a free dent like this Jetta owner.

Oh guys. Just realise adaptive high beam is only turned on when your headlights are in auto mode and your stick is in high beam position.

If you are on manual headlights , it is just normal high beam in high beam position.
*
So adaptive headlights (following the curve) doesn't work in low beam?
