ya, them freebies are just gravy.

But those free to play games are not really bonus, they are part and parcel to the stipulated package of the PS Plus subscription. Sony is making substantial profit from the PS Plus subscription.
Xbox gold is giving away games with more value so far. I guess those who side with the underdogs will be treated better, when one side with the winner, one gets treated like a beggar. That's not even considering the different treatment/deal given to different region consumers
How is Tropico 5 = 8 bit shooter in terms of value????????
This is what R3 subscriber gets to replace Tropico 5........ seriously, nobody would even download this on an android/iOS device.....

This sort of bad gravy will spoil the main dish........ consumers will remember the huge value disparity between Sony and Microsoft online membership when they need to decide which next gen console to get.... that's like just another 2 years time perhaps....

wasnt that interested in tropico but better than this. asik asik shooter.

But even CRT monitor has better resolution than this 8 bit game.....this is obviously a game designed for tiny screen on a very dated handheld device, yet they shamelessly port this onto PS4 platform........ I'm really confused, some people can accept these sort of 8 bit graphic as RETRO art style gaming, but would they have the same tolerance if a modern day 3d game has the graphical quality of PS1 or PS2?

i cannot tahan. even minecraft everytime i look at it . pisses me off. but sorta accept it as it allows for crazy building which a higher graphical demand will affect the gameplay. but for these new retro games.... i mean at the time those were the graphical capabilities. they were pushing the boundary. now its like, lets roll back and make retro games. hai... retro games are retro because they are classics, they bring back nostalgia, they are old. dont make new retro games. hai....

I'm okay with NEW retro game (retro game style with HD graphical polish), like Double Dragon Neon.
Just cannot tahan new game with pixelated graphic disguised as RETRO.

but in all honesty I'm not one to bother about console wars nowadays. I just get whatever the majority of my friends are on, or whatever suits my fancy.

consoles are imho, relatively cheaper than what it was back when i was a kid in the 80s and 90s lol.

I previously play this Double Dragon Neon on Xbox 360, just realised it's also available on PS3 This is RETRO gaming done right, not new game with lazy pixelated graphic DISGUISED as retro.
Console wars? We need not take side with either console makers, but competition is good for consumers in general. Otherwise we end up with monopoly that charge high price but provide lousy service/good..... so many example in BolehLand.

Talked about nostalgia and retro gaming. Anyone watch the movie Pixels? It's pretty light hearted movie about alien invading Earth with pixelated retro gaming characters like snakes, Pacman..........

Just checked the US store for the retail price of the May free to play game:
Tropico 5 = US$59.99
Shutshimi (the 8 bit side shooter) = US$9.99
Looks like Asia subscribers are shortchanged by US$50.00 2nd class customer indeed.

Shutshimi was part of the IGC for April US PS+ for PSV/PS4

usually Asia PS+ will get the games from US PS+ IGC one or few months later

I just checked, the US IGC game Shutshimi in Apr stated PS Vita only, but the one coming to Asia May IGC is stated as PS4/Vita........
So it's still the same, Asia subscriber getting the short end of the deal. A cheap vita game being used as free to play for PS4 for the month of May.... very disappointing
