absolutely... plus we are also human, what you can hear vs what i can hear will be different... not to mentioned what you like vs what i like... 

...suddenly my 10-year old 10w 1% distortion amp sucks in my 60ft hall... time to look for some super 1000w 0.00001% ultra-linear dsp correction amp... and my zero bass (85hz low only) 4.5" dinosaur-tech paper cone bedroom speakers should be chopped up as firewood...because computer speakers can go lower...

30+ years of hifi, 10 years piano to grade 8, hundreds of hours attending live philharmonics orchestras and recitals, countless beers enjoying live jazz bars... all useless... because you only need to read spec sheets and reviews...

ps: i also went for audiometry tests... i know which ear has a slight dip at what frequency... but otherwise perfect hearing with normal high end roll off for my age... lol

I like the unit and its features, but when it comes to power, its kinda lame, especially I dont use a sub, since I have 2 huge front speaker.
I had been planning to get a new amp, for long, but just my old Technics unit just loves me alot, lol.  It a pure 100w drive per channel, rated 500W.
I was thinking to get a new unit with all the bells and whistles and use my Technics to drive my front speakers or use it as a bi-amp. Unfortunately during my hall reorganization, my son accidentally plugged the amp onto transformer port rated at 220V instead of 110V 

Previously I have setup 7011 and 7012 for my family members, felt its power is not even half of what I have when fully driven (all channels).

7013 is rated at 125W at 2 channels (8ohms) compared to the those 2 Denon at 140/150W. So driving all 9 speakers, would bring it down easily around 70-80W, I guess. Personally I prefer Marantz, but thus far couldnt find any on sale yet.

Lets see, 125W is my second line of defense, if I cant get a 140/150W amp.

I know...there is nno argument between woofer and subwoofer,  but since I have 4 12in woofer, I would like to drive with it first. After getting my new amp, if it cant drive it, then I may consider a sub.

Actually it was a general question when I posted. my circle of friends generally are on denon/marantz hence was wondering. Since on paper the spec for yamaha looks solid and generally has higher power, hence was wondering how it translate to real world. I suppose to go Desa home for a view, unfortunately we are still under mco, hence didnt want to risk it crossing district.

These couple of days was looking at A3080, vs Denon x4500, x4700, X7200WA and x6700. compared to those yamaha is almost half the price.

Aiyo, really difficult to answer, which I had been asked gazillion times, to be frank, maybe its just an old habit from tons of years ago! Since my ears are so tuned to it, I just seem cant leave without the extra power. Probably I like the bass it provides, its similar to modern term of bi-amping, which I thought of using, unfortunately my amp is fried.

In SEA, SVS is still the value king. In the US, SVS has started to become a joke.

Rythmik is sold in Malaysia, slightly higher priced than SVS but offers better performance especially if you want to go for the 20" monsters.

Do you have active surround speakers? If yes, you will need to have cables & power point for them at the place you are going to place them (in addition to the wireless kit).
If they are passive speakers, how are you going to send power via wireless?

We have all (most) been through the process of thinking that we can't run wires for surround speakers but now most of us do. The bottom line is once you know how good your system can sound, you will find a way

You have some nice cables there, especially the Vermouth 
I have been using Oxygen cables for a while now and only realized how good they are after trying some other mainstream cables (Transparent and QED) which are more expensive but are considered entry level for those brands.
Will probably keep them running-in for awhile and see how it goes. But right now I am liking my cheap Oxygen cables a lot more and I understand why it was recommended in this forum a few years back.
