as u see from the pix, my speaker is a full range speaker, a 3-way 4-speaker system.
it have the following spec

Impedance: 6 OHMS
Frequence Respondse: 32 Hz - 20 kHz
Sensitivity: ±89 2dB/W/M
Recommended Amplifires: 20 - 250 Watts

the prob is... i do not know which tweeter to choose...
the mix and match is not for forte...

and i only use the system for movie... not music

ps: if i notice some frequency is missing on one speaker... does it mean my crossover is faulty also?

You're right. The look of the X2400h from behind is so cheapo. Like RM1k AV receiver. Simply nothing. I cannot accept because I was using Yamaha V3067. But last week it just went dead after a pop sound. Not sure if I should revive it since it does not support 4k. I feel Yamaha sounding too bright with Jamo speaker. So I plan to try out Marantz.

But Marantz got HDAM which is essential for my music listening. Why you pick Denon asides from being mother company?

But i thought HDAM is special for Marantz?

I heard Marantz is warmer so it’s better for audiophile.   

Hi guys, I have a set HTS Pioneer HTP-820SW and thinking for an new replacement due to the limitation of HDMI compatibility.

Just wondering the 5.1 speakers which 7 years old worth to reuse on new AV receiver? Unsure the lifespan of old speakers set and whether it will produce bad audio quality compare to new set of speaker.

About the AV receiver? Any recommended brand and model worth to go for? The purpose of AV mainly for movie and MP3 music only.

You means Pioneer HTZ or Pioneer HTP?
The speakers of HTP can match with other brand receiver?

I planned to replace Pioneer VSX-820 with Yamaha RX-V485 but reuse the Pioneer HTP speakers. Possible for this?

some how I find the stereo set up have better audio dialogues than the LCR, maybe its just me, or I have cheapo speakers

can anyone please recommend me an avr below RM 3,000, thinking of pairing it with the Q acoustic (a pair 3050i and the 3090ci centre speaker) as my main speaker with the TV after my home is fully renovated.

Does anyone come across with the q acoustic speaker before or please recommend me some other options for speaker, butget at 6k without the avr.

Summary, Please recommend
1. Speaker Set below 6k, some ppl recommend me to get (a pair 3050i and the 3090ci centre speaker) RM 5.4k, the rest can upgrade and top up later if budget allows.

2. AVR below 3k, does not know what is the main purpose of AVR, jus they told me its a must.
3. Usage: Mainly for a mixed of both music and movie( netflix and Football) in living room.

*** Looking for something future proof, can support wifi, bluetooth, spotify .

Should we be worried if the speaker or subwoofer written on the back "Made In China" even tho it's a branded set?

Is it worth to upgrade bookshelf speaker with 5.25" 65Hz -3dB to bookshelf speaker 6.5" 45Hz -3dB? Does the -20Hz difference have big impact on perceived bass?

Hi guys, glad to have found this forum that talks about something that I need help on

I have a set of old home theater fr Sony but the receiver is already faulty not worth to repair. Thought of using the speakers (subs and 5 speakers) for good use. It uses wireless (I think infrared front and back to send audio signal to the back surround).

Any idea how I can use them? Only worry is its infrared is proprietary and I can't use them for any type of receivers?

I'm looking at the Denon x3500H receiver and I'm a bit confused as to where should I wire my Zone 2 speakers? Zone 2 is in another room, do I need like an amplifier for that? Or could I just wire it into one of the Surround Back speaker ports?
