Ahahahahaha, it would seem majority of the FPS problems in Disgaea PC is caused by subscribing to Steam Client Beta and if you're subscribed to it, just unsubscribe and good chances you'll get smooth as silk 60 FPS.
It's like Steam itself was sabotaging Disgaea's release, since a lot of people got refunds due to the FPS problem, calling it a bad port.
I resisted long enough to see all the reviews of the game is pretty shit.. People say better off playing Civ5
The DLC Rising Tide seems to be fix the shit gameplay based on review, I play the based version Beyond Earth (jacksparrow). Yeah, is very lousy in my opinion, I almost felt sleeping everytime I play.. I wish the Rising Tide could be more cheaper.
Beyond Earth isn't all that bad, it was just... lacking.
It's nothing new for the Civ series, really... it's just like how most of the Civ games are lacking before they get an expansion.
Civ V sucked at first too, lacking a lot of things from 4, making it seem really barebones (seriously, no religion? and no espionage either, the heck?), but then it got better with Gods & Kings (they finally brought religion back! and espionage too!) and finally really shine once it gets Brave New World. Tourism! Artifact! Idealogies! Trade Routes!
It's the same for Beyond Earth. Rising Tide added a lot of things to it, making it much much better. Atlantic cities, atlantic resources, artifacts, marvel quests, etc etc, those are all great additions. Hybrid affinity units are cool and nifty, though hybrid affinity itself kinda needs some work, imo, since you can max all 3 affinity easy... and the new diplomacy system is... odd, to say the least.
And guess what... you can move your Atlantic city... and ram into enemies with it. Give me ramming speed! Woo!
DISCLAIMER: I am a Civ addict with hundreds of hours in Civ IV and V, and slowly reaching that in Beyond Earth. Already got 100% achievement for V and BE, though. :3
