Newer technology allows them to offer better and more efficient motors.

Let's also be realistic a bit leh. How much do those cars cost and how much does the Civic cost? It's a mainstream car so it needs to consider the cost of ownership and fuel economy as it first priority. Plus, they offer something too good, it will not only hurt their other markets, it would also make their car cost more.

As it is, the new Civic is the most powerful sedan in its class. And yes, if the US dyno is true, this car has the hp to keep up with a F10 520i, and it weighs a lot less too.

Focus 1.5 ecoboost has 180hp and 240nm but it weights more though.

Despite it will become a more common sight, it will be a car with good ownership experience  thumbup.gif

If not for the more urgent need of a car, i would have waited for the upcoming Civic....

Anyway, my advance congratulation to those potential owners here  icon_rolleyes.gif

I nearly went for cx5 due to urgent need but managed to hold back for this civic. Hopefully can get in a month time.

I think modern steel color first appear on civic fb. A few commercials uses it and it looks solid and tough.

I like how CarAdvice review the car. They don't simply compare cars base on " I guess " like in so called comparison review by Paultan when they test drove the car in Chiang Mai. IMHO they should compare the car back to back before comes with any conclusions.
Btw, below are ratings given by CarAdvice on New Civic and Mazda 3.

I think the mix up cabin n comfort between m3 n civic.

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ May 23 2016, 11:17 AM)
Most car dealerships have order books of between 50-80 units till last week. 80% are for the 1.5 Turbo models. And this will surely go up since the car has been previewed at Mines over the weekend.

So assuming a delivery of about 20 units a month for each dealership, that's about 3 months just to clear off the current pre launch bookings. Let alone new bookings after the launch.

So if u book immediately after the launch, be prepared to wait at least 4-5 months.

If ur in KL, u can go back to hometown or smaller towns' SA to book.

Seems like indons not getting the full lcd dashboard and 3 angle reverse camera. With the lack of interior color option, its going to be a massive letdown if we are getting indon specs.

It's clearly about 8 seconds for 0-60mph.
0-100kph? a little bit more..

What's terrible is about 1 second lag before anything happens when you floor the throttle.

6.5sec? yea right...power of dreams.
*
0-60mph = 0-100kph (96.6kph)

you guys think we are getting similar specs like Indonesia?

Just noticed its 1.5 turbo variant has a separate digital aircond display, unlike Thailand's

We are getting all the Thai interior features plus Indonesian rear aircon vent. Seems like ours is the best specced in Asean.

I think the Thais and the Filipinos have the best spec in ASEAN with the RS Civic.  Choice of colors also more than us..
*
Thai RS has rear spoiler and black grill which i dont fancy but it lacks rear aircon vent which I think is the crucial factor which separates the high and low end c-segment cars.

What feature Filipino has which we dont?

I feel like getting this car in the next few months, should I book now?

I still need to sell off my swift sport for the funds first sad.gif

Hrv's waiting list was 6 months at its peak. This civic is going to be more popular than Hrv. It's breaking sales record in foreign markets such as north America.

Better book now.
