lol wat fan recommanded for Ultra 120? wan look nice Blink blink and not so bad performence

Get Vizo if u want bling bling with performance ..

it's a bit noisy but definitely bearable.. if it's plugged to mobo fan header the fan speed could be reduced for decent air flow and lower noise . .. or can get some Aerocool Aluminum fan that come with LED ... it should be a nice one as well .. but he weight of the fan must be bear in mind.... notworthy.gif

Hi guys,

I have a P4 3.0 with stock fan and heatsink. My idle temp will be around +-53C and max around 67C. I know it's hot, but i wanna know, as i switch on my pc, i found out that the temp is always around +-60C, then slowly decrease to +-53C when idle. Is this normal?
*
hmm .probably time to change the thermal paste ... thumbup.gif

That's why never combine a download machine and gaming machine ..

You would be worrying about more than u could...

currently there's really not much of choice for ATI 2K series...

Either you could grab a Thermalright HR-03 Rev A or wait further...

I didn't wait for any of these so just water cooling all the way ...

fully satisfied with the performance..

you have a great ventilation case .. the only reason that ur CPU could be over heating should be ur cooler mounting ...

if possible try ur stock cooler on and see the difference ... if the stock cooler works better during load compared to ur AC freezer ...

than u should have ur answer .. if not than probably could describe the situation a bit further for reference.

probably u should try ur cpu on other mobo with the freezer pro then ..

or if u try to touch the fins during the load condition see whether it's really as hot as what the temperature reported .. .
..
but be careful when doing it ..

ok, will try with another mobo tmr..

I've  touched it, it is hot..
The heatpipe running on the mobo is even hotter, if i'm not mistaken, that is the nvidia nforce chip...
*
Yah the best way to clarify it is try different hardwares to ensure the consistency of ur finding..

Just wondering ...

My C2D E6550 Running 2.8ghz on prime test is 58c is dat normal??
*
Stock cooler ??? if it's stock cooler than probably it's normal due to restrictive airflow within the case ...

if not stock cooler than try to run the test again in open area without case ...

check the difference than u would know it's cooler or case airflow issue...

it shouldn't be ... 62c is not really a desired result on C2D .. .

I clocked my CPU to 2.7ghz before but the heat level never gone up to 58c even with my air cooling last time ...

I think u really need to make sure ur temperature reading is accurate ..

if it's so hot u could feel it easily by touching the fins of ur cooler ..

Get Xigmatek if possible or thermalright top end cooler ...

but have to prepare the budget for it . .coz those come at least RM150 without fans....

Freezer 7 pro is good to run at stock speed but if OC but quite a margin it just can't cope up ...

I had one before but just sold it last week ..

btw this babe should works just fine for both stock and oc usage..

Xigmatek Bulk Order

he's not using intel mobo if not mistaken ... it's Abit AN8 Ultra ..

that mobo got three years of warranty ?

anyway .. either u switch off the temperature threshold setting or get a new mobo ...

QUOTE(Savor_Savvy @ Oct 23 2007, 01:44 PM)
After a new thermal paste and i install a new 80mm fan at the back (one at the back, one at the side), the temperature decreased to
Idle=50C
max=55C
Internal=40C
Remote=44C
Core=49C
HD=46C

Is this still acceptable?
*
Yah .. as long as the temperature of load and idle isn't too much differ that shows u have reach the optimal temperature with the cooler ..

if u need further more than have to look for a better cooler ..

QUOTE(Amedion @ Oct 23 2007, 04:57 PM)
AMD Athlon X2 4000+ Brisbane @ 2.6Ghz stock vcore and cooler
Idle : 30c
Load : 55+
Just wanna know what is the safe range temperature for full load?
Thinking of getting average cooler around RM100 & OC till 3.0Ghz .. Keke..
*
Better get a cooler that could push more performance without getting to the heat threshold ..

I don't think there's any cooler in the market about that price unless it's 2nd hand that could handle that amount of massive OC ..

@fuzagi

Then u have to look into which type of configuration u want ..

There's two types known as pull or push also known as negative or positive pressure..

Negative pressure (More air out but least air in)
Airflow Out > In

Positive pressure (More air in but least air out)
Airflow Out < In

To achieve the best result is by having negative pressure coz it would make sure all the hot airs within the case exhaust ...

however this only could be achieve with lost of ventilation holes around the case ... because just the intake fan along won't be enough to bring in cool air ...

It won't generates better flow by lining up two fans together ... it's not math ... 1 + 1 = 2

coz partial of the air would bounced back .... the best way to direct and air is determine to which extend that the airflow out from the fan lose it's static pressure .. so u put a fan after that to optimize airflow direction ...

the easiest way if the mobo comes with utility software that could display the temperature ..

if not use Everest Ultimate and speed fan as speed fan could display the north bridge temperature most of time ..

u could load the system and estimate with one is the north bridge by cross checking with speed fan and what other values that could be assume or identified as south bridge temperature through everest ..

I think the value of ur south bridge is totally absent ...

Only north bridge is present ... hmmm ..

If south bridge isn't being overclocked .. most of time it would not over heat ... so probably u could just skip the monitoring of south bridge

hmm cleaning the entire pc is definitely a must practice every month ...

especially in dusty environment ... however I don't think one need to replace their thermal paste that often, usually it could last a year ...

However clearing dust is a must ....

you can't really do much about it ...

either u run at lower ambient temperature or just forget about gaming on it ..

It's the natural design of the laptop that has restrictive airflow within the case..

if u have dissemble a laptop.. you would know why it's hot ..

there's only small piece of heatpipe and fins to cool off the entire chip which most of time is a extreme heat producer..

the cooler just not effective ..

There's no such thing as recommended temperature loh...

Different cooler, case and other component such as GC affect the overall temperature of the CPU one way or another..

The only question would be to find out average idle and load temperature of others with similar cooling setup ..

mine range from 34c to 44c based on wc cooling ..

it was 36 to 48 before on Artic Cooling Freezer Pro ..

All result based on stock core speed ...

It might do a bit but won't be too much ..

probably about 5 degree lower ... however by doing that would void ur warranty if ur laptops is covered.

it's not second hand right ??
