hmm .. I do reckon that chipset and graphic card temperature would effect the CPU temperature as well ..
especially when it's close to each other ... overall heat output just rises ...

idle temperature would be lower a bit .. but most important is the load temperature ..
a good 3rd party cooler is meant to the handle the stress of heat issue during load condition ....

Definitely abnormal .. dude way too hot if on stock speed .... but if it's overclocked .. then pretty normal loh .. but still, it's not recommended ...

I've been using Asus Maximus Formula for about a month and noticed that tremendous increment of NB and CPU temperature: My issue is hot how is the X38 NB in general ? second question is would the NB temperature affect CPU temperature increment as well because my CPU temperature was idle at 36c and load at 44c previously on Asus Commando .. but now it's idle at 50c and load at 54c .... weird thing is the idle to load temperature gap is very narrow ... no overclocking done on both setup ....

@toothgnasher test it out and u would know what's the best setup for your system ..
there's no universal approach and all depend on individual setup ...

@zubai Probably P5N-E SLI mobo sensor got problem like my Asus Maximus Formula
@Crazegamer If u are using stock cooler then the temperatur is pretty normal loh ...
if want a better result get a nice AC Freezer 7 Pro ... RM125 ..
