Better check the heatsink. The bottom of the heatsink should have direct contact with ur CPU. Sometimes when it is not installed properly, the heat doesn't spread evenly through the heatsink or heatpipes causes the CPU to heat. Also use Arctic MX4 for ur thermalpaste.

FX4100 idle temp not constant, sometime 26C, sometime 34C.. but it varies within that range consistently.. under prime65, it hits 55C..

however in games, it hits 59C-60C.. is it a safe temp..?
and is it caused by extra graphic card heat..?

using TX3Evo dual fan

i'd say go for the highest temp to be safe.. i dont think that the idle temp of ur FX proc would be 26c unless ur ambient is really cold..but 34c is really nice temp, so no prob there.

myb the air ventilation inside ur case have something to do do with the increase of the proc heat when playing games. so, try add fans where ever necessary. keep in mind that 'heat rises'. also, better show some pic of ur setup for clearer vision so that others could give better comments.

firstly, clean the dust at the heatsink bro...huhu...than, check wether the heatsink makes a direct contact to the cpu or not. if not, myb u didnt mount the heatsink correctly. if the heatsink does make a direct contact, better check the fan..perhaps the fan doesnt run as optimum as it should.
