hey guys i just bought a new pc and was wondering if the temps are alright ..
got myself a shuttle xpc with i5 2500 on it
idle's at average 45c - 49c (non air-con room temperature)
and did like a 10min run on prime95 and the load temps are within 70c - 74c
safe?
cheers

QUOTE(90Boyz @ Mar 4 2012, 07:13 PM) How many fans you install in your casing ? who me? erm, there's no additional fans, since it's a shuttle XPC, fans are only from the CPU cooler (92mm) plus the power supply. that's all

Then better use better performance of the thermal paste or find some low profile 3rd parties heatsink might lower down the tem since your casing is kinda small and can't install those big fan to chill of your cpu ..

Thats normal since u dint setup at BIOS. Enter your BIOS during start up, choose hardware monitor if im not mistaken, there should be choice to set silent mode under CPU heatsink/fan. It will be set to Disabled usually. Just change that and should solve the problem. No need to set AMD cool and quite or whatsoever. Not related at all lol Basically new AMD mobo will set to normal which will cause the fan to spin 7k RPM which is ridiculous.
