QUOTE(wayton @ Mar 9 2021, 09:37 AM)
5G is not positive catalyst for Telco.
5G only good for equipment makers, driving handphone selling.

Consumer is not expecting to pay more monthly subscription fee by having 5G.
While Telco need to invest lot of money for 5G.
I came across article said 5G signal has weaker penetration that need more telco tower or signal compared to 4G.

But Digi has stable business and a good dividend income stock.
*
Malaysians purchasing power has already decrease alot
The economy could support the growth of 5G
DIGI parent Telenor had already studied this issue. That's why they are planning to sale the stake or to merge with others
I would assume many of Malaysians will be forced to remain in LTE

Check the MyDigital blueprint. Msia will deploy 5G through a “special purpose vehicle” (SPV) that will receive 5G spectra, as well as build, operate and lease 5G infrastructure to new and existing telcos by the end of 2021

Uncle, what you plan to do if rain today or next one week?

If rain today, more grain to harvest

If rain next week, more grain to plant

Seriously, RM3.50 is too cheap to ignore la laugh.gif

unless china manage to build 300 factories within 3 years to compete with Malaysians gloves, and start dumping war

even so, they will also lose out in efficiency and cost

Bought up more tguan. Not sure what happen yesterday but that was a nice opportunity for below rm2.

Tech rebounded, nasdaq come back stronger than expected, which is a good thing.
*
Plastic packaging company is worth to see if oil price managed lower down. More on resin price actually

As now supply issue has been well addressed. Will expect resin price to stablelize and also waiting company to pass down the escalating cost to their client

If glove share is substantially below their fair value, controlling shareholders, ff, local institutions, ib would be collecting it or taking up private placement at current price.

TG boss have been buying since TG was rm8

Trading might become less and less popular and difficult with less people trading as more people are going back to work. Soon, traders will have to compete with algo bots instead of retailers.
*
Algo bots is set to trade to follow parameter set by programmer and humans

Autonomous and AI is close related but both different thing

If like this then, need to force Muhidin to call for Foreign Investor to splurge their money here.
*
They will not

Robo investing works better in a higher volume xchange due to less manipulation in pricing

So far the potential is much better in US/London/HK

Welcome back.
Products that needs premium packaging e.g glass will likely remain unchanged. most other that could be substituted with plastic would have done so.
*
like it or not, plastic is the best water proof/resistant in terms of price:performance ratio

no one can run away from the usage of plastic at least in the next 30 years

and it makes good sense to buy stocks related to plastics when the price is low

plastic supply chain cover cruel oil, refinery, resin producer and plastic producer. plastic packaging manufacturer is only value add on injection moulding, blowing, etc. raw materials price rise may increase revenue not necessary profit.
*
my argument is as follow:-

Since plastic stocks are (not quite ) beaten down (except for Thong Guan and Tomypack). Sceintex, Daibochi, SLP, Tomypack, Bpplastic

cruel oil price stabilize
Resin price reduced to pre covid level, if not pass the cost to client
Molding capacity remains (Metal price increase will somehow)

Price of stock may move up higher due to normalization

Intel ok, but in ireland?

Sorry, but i don't think gonna work

Foundry business is like steel and airline business

if efficiency and productivity is not there, you are going to lose out

just calculate how many leave entitled by Taiwanese employee and compare to the holiday leave given to Irish

is a indicator.

What does it indicate?

There are 2 possibilities
1. Bursa is no longer exciting and since epf and government fund owns most of the 30 index stocks. Nothing much will impact
2. FF return and stir up the market again

Speculation is no different from gambling at casino. Few people could accumulate wealth from speculation at the end.

In the long term, boring and slow stock tend to return better.

Think so hard for?

Basically TG was prosecuted for forced labour (due to foreign workers paying a high fees in their country to secure their contracts, (not just TG, but basically every fucking companies in MY hiring foreign workers are also doing the same practice) and also high amount of overtime (I believed many countries even singapore implements 60hours/week MAX). US could be looking at other glove makers as we speak. Who knows....
*
Forced labor or not. It is very subjective how one interpret it

Worker levy justified? Malaysians do pay tax too

Pay to secure contract? That's the arrangement with agencies. Yes Malaysians agencies are screwed up. Same goes to others countries as well. Cronies and politicians, who are then that we trust? LOL

what one does in bursa is all about yr view what comes in next 2-3 years:

i bought more uwc, entered d&o... sold off some harta.

no love for banks, gaming, properties, plantations. tongue.gif

Covid will not end so soon

Tech is still overpriced. Value investing and tech can never be in line

Harta is the cheapest apart from kossan. I'm surprised you sold the cheapest among others

For me, industrial reits to go at the moment
