Okie one, Uncle, no need apologize...everyone here is accountable for their own decisions. I'm saying this so you wont stop sharing more insights, haha

Same lesson from my side.
But just wanted to add...sometimes, you dont know what really is the 'better value' unless you're a technical chart analysis nerd, and even then you may be not close to the prediction of best low price to buy. So, if you're not one, then we can only try and gauge. And when we do, we can kantoi, like this now, haha

Random thought, I find it hard to train myself up to be a long term investor (>5 years) in Bursa after experiencing so much with it. Probably will not be one.

Jiejie/Auntie, how many years have you been in Bursa actually?

Thanks for sharing uncle.

For me I learned the lesson that I entered KGB at a high price without a clear, sober head. I was thinking that I entered with an investor mindset, I was planning to hold for the longer term. But why did I feel the desperation when my paper profit turner into paper loss? I should only feel concerned if I’m a trader and don’t believe in the company’s fundamentals.

*
i am a bit perplexed if one could really discern the mindset of a trader or a investor. the main reason i allocate 10k for so called trading is because that is the max for goreng counter, mainly glove and tech. this is the only self control discipline approach i can think of to regulate myself.

Gas supply is normally under long term contracts. Profit won't follow market sentiment.

A roll out to new dry ice market?

Dividend 1.5 sen.

Guess this is for long term and not liquid stock.

Look at KGB Chart in 1 year view. See how it look ? Look at that inflection point on Nov 2020 onwards ? See the way in went up ? This is not a long term performing counter, it is a shot in the arm steroid boosted counter. Who do you think provide the steroid ?

Anyway if you all wanna punt KGB, i would suggest just cut it and punt on UWC lol. That company never have a QoQ miss on growth yet, so far it is like a growth machine and it also drop quite alot today.

Both are not a value investor counter due to its valuation. But atleast UWC support it's growth valuations thesis as compared to KGB which is yet to be proven. That is my take if i were to stuck in the KGB penthouse.

Hi jiejie, yes I’m thankfully still in my 20s even though not for long. I need to invest aggressively before I get old but bursa bullies me.

What if, you invested 10k on the trend stock as “trading”, it increased by 300-500%, will you regret not sailang?

Ya I agree with you it’s nt easy to draw the fine line between an investor vs a trader. Maybe we’re all just gamblers tbh, gamblers of different risk appetite. Some gamblers can use margin, buy warrants / fundamental-less penny stocks, our appetite small but deep down we still kinda gambling around, under the disguise of an investor / trader. Ikan bilis like us just want to feel an adrenaline rush in the never-ending rat race, such is life. This innate tendency is further manipulated by the those who control the game, to further their gains. False hope, that’s what keep ppl trying.

Damn I shouldn’t have spilled the truth. Happy weekend again!

i like to ask if anyone here is a TA/chartist...

back a couple of months ago, there were a good no. of comments on gloves - "the TA/charts show downtrend, sure go down".

and it turned out correct - down continuously for weeks and months, non-stop.

what about tech stocks now?

are the charts showing temp weakness or longer downtrend like the time with gloves?

by tech i mean broadly - chipmakers, contractors, the tesla's and amazon's, VR's, online apps - all of them, i.e. "nasdaq".

Today shorties close position in anticipation of TG result next week?
*
i think so, but can't be sure until the data comes out next tue.

if shortie has started closing, it was just max 3-4mil, max 5mil shares (my guess), still has another 220mil to go... 2-3 months?

and EPF keeps buying TG, Harta, kossan:

For share price to rise 300-500% in a short period of time could only occur at once in a century event or fomo speculation. Historically, only a small portion of early investors got to keep the gain and vast majority are trapped.

Those experienced adrenaline rush are often addicted. As we all know, addict ignore all non agreeable opinion and hear/take as noise.

Hong Kong Arrests 12, Seizes $116 Million After Stock Scam

The alleged crimes involve so-called “ramp and dump” schemes, where a stock is bid up and then touted on social media before it’s sold, leaving other investors with losses. The scam targeted people both in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.

Beware of similar exercise in bursa, could be a few order of magnitude bigger. You have been warned. white noise.

Chinese technology stocks have fallen 21% in just over two weeks as higher borrowing costs deepen concerns over valuations.

The Hang Seng Tech Index, which includes Chinese technology giants Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. and Tencent Holdings Ltd., closed down 2.1% Friday. The gauge has steadily declined since its Feb. 17 peak, compared to a drop of 9% in the Nasdaq 100 and a decline of around 7.5% in the MSCI Asia Pacific Information Technology Index over that time.

I understand, which was why I referenced cuts as some may have specific preference towards ribeyes or tenderloins.
The A5 have almost the consistency of butter.
