there was a time, u remember, they loaned 2% or so of TG to some foreign IB (JPM the usual suspect) for shorting.. and went dark.

but it was quickly returned, perhaps they realized that was terrible for their PR, esp with LWC sitting on the board.


anyway, today, shortie did not short any TG , harta or kossan; buyback or not, won't know until next week.

but did a bit on spmx... maybe they know very well spmx retailers are always more jittery, dying to cut loss.

also possible effect from continued local IB's dumping for their call warrants - there are reports local institutions been selling glove stocks big.

hence spmx price cud not go up much.

yup showing some temp weakness with nasdaq. but havent form any death cross or any structure break. only undergoing a minor correction like back in september to november.

today drop kao kao, but try and have a look at hextar, SRIDGE, Genetec. holding up quite well. some tested the short term, some naik pelan2 mcm siput.

I quite like UWC. Fast growing business, frontend semicon, involved in autonomous vehicles, insiders own 50%, Forbes Asia best under billion, share price uptrend, covered by analysts.

3 things stop me from investing in UWC (for now, at least):
1. Share price has increased a lot since last year with rather high PE. (due to extraordinary growth rate) I'm uncomfortable with sky high PEs & very low DY.
2. Expectations on UWC are very high. Since listing, its revenue & profit have increased every single quarter. What if I have bad luck to buy it & a QR with lower revenue or profit comes in?
3. UWC is rather new. I prefer companies with track record as a listed company.

Anyhow, good to know another company on Bursa.

P.S. I hope no one gets discouraged by me. If it shoots up to RM10 in future, don't come after me ya?

Yup, market correction is taking place. March 2021 seems to resemble March 2020. A time to test our emotions.

I think you no need hurry already. Clearly growth counter losing favour based on tonight verdict.

If nasdaq close green maybe worth a punt on monday else just wait and let market find a bottom and digest the upcoming stimulus.
