This is a great buying opportunity for those with holding power. It only comes once in 10 years.

The sky is falling and there is blood on the street as they say.

The only question is have we seen the bottom of the market yet? Nobody has the answer.

For Malaysia, if the RMO gets extended for another 2 weeks because the infection cases spike, then what will happen to the market?

In the meantime, I am staying invested to the point that I am comfortable sleeping.

Happy investing guys!

I agree completely with you that this is a great buying opportunity.

But perhaps this kind of opportunity comes once in every 70 years (or maybe it doesn't ever come before).

I have mentioned in my previous post that 4 main issues the world are facing now but I hold back on one main critical opportunity that Malaysia is undergoing now.

The 4 main issues maybe can let you earn 2x, 5x, 10x, yes. But this main critical opportunity maybe can let you earn 50x or more.

The same opportunity has already changed the ranking of the richest man in the world and most valuable companies in the world.

I'm a bit confused between a stock's / ETF's domicile and where it's listed.
A stock or ETF may be listed in LSE but domiciled elsewhere? So, when I say UK shares, it refers to its domicile or where it's listed?

since GBP has dropped to close to RM5, thinking of investing in LSE.... but how come Brexit has no effect? I thought ppl were expecting GBP to tumble after Brexit?

I am not sure I understand your post.

Are you asking what you should do if you are holding a sizeable amount of shares and there is a big loss in your portfolio? If you have bought the shares at a discounted price and they are fundamentally strong, then the best thing to do is nothing. Just ride out the storm.

If you were referring to my portfolio, my current unrealised loss is about -13.634%. This is still acceptable.

Post note : I have already exhausted my second war chest. Now looking at my third war chest which I prefer not to touch now if possible.

The other option is to sell off some of my existing shares and buy other shares with a better risk reward ratio.

It's pretty common in Europe to have a fund domiciled somewhere else, usually Ireland, and listed at a number of European exchanges.

Markets have gone pretty crazy these last 2 weeks. Not just equities. Credit, currencies, commodities. For me I'm just ignoring these craziness and look at my longer term projections.

Unfortunately, this will be my final war chest. I was saving it in case the stocks in my watch list drop another 10% to 20%. But the stock market rebounded last Friday.

I don’t like to invest or trade using a margin account or by borrowing money. But that is just my personal preference. Other forumers here may have a higher risk tolerance.

For you to earn 5000% the stock would have to drop by 98%.. Situation is bad, but won't be THAT bad..

it is no surprise that most will have this kind of mindset, which eventually leading most of the investors to focus on the likes of PBB, Maybank, CIMB, TNB, AA, etc etc.

the most valuable company now doesn't mean will continue to be the most valuable company in the future.

just look around at yourself, your family, relative, friends, public.

what is important to them?

what is a "must bring" when they go out from home?

and do some thinkering what is the next big change that will happen to those things.

I have said too much. Normally I won't answer those kind of questions because as a limited resources' investor, you would like to slowly accumulate the share while the price is still low. Talk too much about it will only increase the share price and make you don't have enough bullet to buy the quantity that you want.

ok. I am off about this topic. Don't want to continue anymore.

Not disrespect to anyone here, but i don't think even all of us in this forum combined will even put in 1 million in total to whichever counter. Won't make a dent to the share price. It's only those big institutional investors that can move the share price.

Gay bear due diligence:

1) Invest in stocks in EPF's portfolio once people withdraw money. EPF will be forced to sell when people withdraw driving prices down.
2) Don't buy health insurance stocks for now. People stay at home never exercise. If you never walk 6000 steps per day, health risk increase -> more health problems -> More insurance claims -> Less profits for insurance companies. Also, insurance companies invest in stocks. Market not good, profit down.
3) Ultimate high risk, high return: Withdraw all from EPF and buy the stocks yourself. Potential to make up to 100% than the lousy EPF dividend. laugh.gif
4) If lockdown lasts for months, banking shares most likely will have to impair loans and classify as non-performing causing a huge drop in profits. Best to pick up after the dust settles.

These are some ideas I can share. Can't share too much tongue.gif
