never mind... come... now the budget is out.... let's see if you can bet on a winner based on 'known' budget news....
winner means stock that will appreciate at least 30% based on budget.

I need to put up a disclaimer that I do not invest in property. Which makes me weird among most Malaysians I guess.
Don't own any except for the place I am staying. And am considering moving to rent instead soon.

I don't like property as an investment because it has plenty of hidden costs (legal, maintenance, etc) and is illiquid. The hidden costs especially are missed by most investors.
Property maintenance is a constant bleed on an investment. It is like sitting on a short and you slowly bleed. I can sit on equity in perpetuity with no additional cost.

Ah, but I guess this is a topic for another thread. And I expect to get pelted by the public for harbouring such views.
No fingers in the budget play stocks. That pie is poisonous to my financial health.

I think of Abah, Sabri and Zafrool as the local gangsters when it comes to investing locally.
From time to time we need to pay protection money in the form of lobsters to them.

I'm bullish about their recovery. But again, I am at the mercy of da ge.

You can compare a simple stock like NVdia and compare it to what those indicators suggested earlier .....

and yes, since treasury shares, cannot impair lo...

so that obviously is one of the issue against share buyback...
despite the fundamental reasons why buybacks are theoretically good for the company and its shareholders, the very problem is share buybacks is nothing but buying shares in the open market, something which could be badly executed/abused... and as in this case, if one had not been keeping track of the buybacks, most of the time, the 'losses' just goes to share heaven.....

see if we reasoned out the stock should fall and it didn't...
and instead of falling, it broke out even higher?

as a trader, we gotta acknowledge our reasoning is out of sync with the market... and obviously at that point, we need to change our mindset and accept the market wants the stock to move higher.... so instead of just chucking the stock into the garbage bin, as a trader, go look for an entry instead.

look at it with your best independent mindset...

but.... having said all this.... I can't do this myself....
