QUOTE(fastreader @ Sep 20 2017, 09:59 PM) Hi sifu, For the counter YTL :4677, this is the entitlement: 29-Aug-2017 24-Oct-2017 DIVIDEND_SHARE Others 1 : 50 meaning, let's say I own 13,600 shares, I'm entitled to how many shares? 13,600/50 = 272 shares [Meaning after ex-date i will have 13,872 shares] ? Yes, correct.

QUOTE(BetfairTrader @ Sep 25 2017, 12:45 PM) er i am interested to know that too but screening means you pick a stock by looking at a list of them on the stock broker right and then decide which you want to buy if they meet your criteria? I don't know your preference criteria but easier when you use screening site such as https://www.klsescreener.com

Example stock price Rm2 got higher market cap compare to those price Rm14 Doesn't mean anything AT ALL. Price is irrelevant really. Price per share * Number of shares outstanding = Market Cap Higher outstanding per given market cap means lower share price, and likewise lower outstanding shares per given market cap means higher price. In and of itself, this means nothing.

Mind to ask how is the diidend been calculated for example Price RM3 , par value 0.50, given dividend is 3cents, so how much total i can get? usually they announce how many div u will get per the number of shares u hold (ie 0.03 sen per shares u hold, so if u hold 100 shares x 0.03 = rm 3 u will get). or sometimes they just give u extra shares instead of money (ie if same example they will give u 6 shares, since 1 share is rm0.50 and u are entitle to rm3 worth of payment) maybe need someone to confirm 2nd example

A 0.20 stock can be more expensive than a 20.00 in valuation.

QUOTE(MohdPuskas @ Oct 2 2017, 03:05 PM) If you keep blue chip stock for a long time, beside dividend, will get some appreciation like voucher or gift ? No. Unless you go for AGM. No AGM, no voucher. That one also if the company decide to give. If the company don't want to give, you cannot do anything.
