An example of strong speculative fever going on

Plan A: Just stay away until the bubble bursts
Plan B: Stay invested in value stocks, as rotation from growth (mainly speculative TECH) will come into values when it bursts.

Not sure if staying invested (and see the crash painfully in portfolio) or buy the dip later will be better

Downside for A: Not bursting soon, and missed the whole rally
Downside for B: Bursting soon, and end up bagholding until breakeven. I believe value will make a comeback even if it dips later because they are just too damn cheap compared to growth

MCO announcement will drag all recovery stocks down, all recovery stocks might become RSS target. Wait for announcement to kill the prices 1st.
No vested interest here. I myself dont feel like buying genting until we start having vaccination, cause genting's entertainment is not a must, it is an extra.

Also, the biggest bomb is yet to release. When Tesla crashes (definitely dragging the S&P index down), and if trigger panic selling due to sentiment shift in other counters, then will drop more.

IF the rumours around short sellers covering shorts is true, its short term show.

But the real fundamental trigger is MCO

Malaysia techs are so expensive already, the only cheaper options are industrial products, banks and gloves.

With MCO re-implementation, economy recovery will be delayed. Banks' fundamentals are indirectly affected (banks are always linked to economy). Although banks are still cheaper than gloves (Forward PE and PB wise), but sentiment shift now favors gloves. Fund flowing back from banks to gloves.

Recovery stocks will drop due to fundamentals deterioration (from MCO) and sentiment shift. Unless tonight potong stim. no MCO. But unlikely la, no hospital beds already.


Also when Tesla bursts, wont be a surprise if
1. The whole index crashes again
2. Index not affected, but some really really expensive malaysia techs funds shifting back to banks, gloves, and industrial products.

If you guys still have recovery counters that are fairly valued, better cut now.

Sentimental play might be able to push it back to undervalued territory.
