klse screener comment like this

still full of confidence, banker left is ok, whats left now is true genuine investors. unlike glove, bankers left all cabut.
*
laugh.gif this goes both ways isn't it?

it's still on downtrend and IF value investing means keep buying because of the business, or moat, then are there better chances out there for consumer stocks or is mrdiy simply a higher class of lima logam business.

and are gloves considered as value investing now because of low pe, high eps, etc? well, the charts say otherwise, or does value investing mean be with the stocks regardless of price and timeframe?

or it can go north after that and value investors then say that it's right? laugh.gif

Got out of inari early this year, looks like a good time to go back in.

their pp is said to be used for good purposes, ie, diversifying their portfolio and get out of the sole client, and shares are doing right, people are happy then.

but i'm wondering, how far will it go in near future with 5g and other IoT stuffs.

its risk and reward, one to each own. If one have access to global markets eg. US & China, why buy semi-con stocks in Bursa?
One would have access to TRUE technology sector eg. Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Palantir etc.
what so special about Vitrox and Inari ?  whistling.gif
*
you make it sound like owning FAANG automatically means winning in stocks. On the contrary, owning bursa tech means they are fake and hence, losing. laugh.gif

One can always try to make a trade out of any stock... Yup. Sure can.

However, whether one can or cannot make money out of it, that's the key......
say them glove stocks, A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned the Delta. Delta is creating panic, everywhere... hence if one use this as the reasoning to punt on the glove stocks, well, at least they had a reason to do so....

for example... one of the mega reason why certain stocks flew so high ... was the extreme smallish NOSH. That one had 40m+. So it went to orbit... which reminded the smarter punters of Repco. Yea.. the master lapsap stock. LOL! But mentioned few times b4... blardy hell, it had only 20 million stocks... shit, no need cooking oil la... just put on the wok, one can immediately fry it... so, based on this reason, the punting angle is to hunt and skin those stocks with less than 100 m NOSH. 40m is about the best. Touch the bum and the stock will and stick to the wall. laugh.gif

Furniture? the chief reason why the sector will boom, is exporting to booming housing markets..... local? tough sell la.. during times like this,... this is usually the one time, many will try to procrastinate buying.... or at least that's me thinking.
*
yah, it boils down to how one works with his or her style and not lose money.

and when the other furniture counters are not moving much, this is the exclusive one so it's not entirely a sure bet puke.gif

and again, jln2 sure balik tech, although things arent looking good too in nasdaq.

one MRNA dragged everything down laugh.gif

Don't know what is the purpose posting those PE number everyday.
*
because pe is a good yardstick to determine whether it's overvalued, or undervalued.

according to many sifus, and books.

and that is

value investing.

laugh.gif

so look towards to the right of the chart ignoring the past by using the golden yardstick

here's what 416% looks like

i do not post it solely based on the presented, there are other timing/TA reason for that with risk considerations.

i mean just because i present part of the puzzle, doesn't mean it's the whole puzzle right?
*
is it possible for you to unveil the puzzle as i wish to learn more from professionals? we all are in for the same goal and sharing does hurt one a bit in the market

it's not like i'm opening another shop in front of you store.

unless, you're a sifu who has mouth to feed

Anyway... in the case/idea of investing just to beat fd... I take fd..

I always believe the reason must be good. Just to beat fd is not a good reason for me. It feels like an advertising gimmick used by funds to lure folks to invest. And if the investment idea is good, of course why not.
*
I was fed into this idea as well but to do this, one has to bear much higher risk to just beat epf, ie 7%, less than 1% for the months in a year, hence it's not an viable option for me anymore.

Still trying to be good, but the market is not so good. laugh.gif

Peanuts la for u... But for me 9% is double portfolio size in 8 years, which is good enough.
*
9/12 = 0.75

So to do 0.75 in a month, is that an easy or difficult task?

With the risk comes with the market, is 9% justified reward?

This is the question I keep asking myself recently. biggrin.gif

Lol wut? It's a forum, everyone can share their thoughts. There's no need to feel offended. Everyone has various strategies.

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Aug 13 2021, 06:22 PM)
For you... you better not. such mindset, breaking it down to months like this, often tends to lead to over trading.

Btw... watch out for AFTER big wins... One tends to have a feeling where they reckon they can conquer the world with one hand kinda feeling...
*
Yeah. I can't do that too. I know someone who can do that but it doesn't suit me. Everyone's different and the big wins from last year and early this year do make one lose his or her head. Identifying the right market to do right thing is extremely important.

Need to always keep a cool head.

16.1% was y-o-y, meaning it was 16.1% growth from the 2Q2020 (which saw a contraction of 17.1% from 2Q2019).

Looks like Fitch is projecting a bad 3Q and a still not good 4Q.

They could be off, they are also human. We will see if they are accurate or BNM accurate.

But for sure, I don't expect any interest rate hike this year then. Probably a cut is more likely.
*
they did mention that it's a low-base rebound but still, ESPECIALLY with the political wrestle which renders the confusing way of dealing with covid...

icon_question.gif

QUOTE(ChAOoz @ Aug 16 2021, 02:49 PM)
Bnm is stuck. Lower interest rate and currency get hammered and inflations kick in due to rising cost of imports. Increase interest rate and growth will slow.
*
it's like drug. qe's a strong one, interest rate a weaker one and everyone's stuck.
