QUOTE(Everdying @ Jan 27 2016, 12:43 PM) haha, even chelsea fans are questioning why they never went for Charlie Austin. #TCout! If he bang in a few more goals for the rest of season, he may be the "steal of the season" at £4 mil price tag. How come a striker that almost every season got double digit goals record (even with QPR in EPL), was priced at £4 mil? Soton seems like very good in doing business, sell Shaw, Lovren, Lallana took in more than £70 mil, now buy a double digit goals striker at £4mil? I think Liv's priority in transfer market is to "buy" football director" of Soton.

So, the price 4m for someone who is leaving on free at the end of season is understandably reasonable.

Watch the match last night. Not really our best performance, but we're so LUCKY. First half we play like shit, no threat or whatsoever at all. Second half start looks a bit better, probably because of the goal. Seriously, we need a world class midfield who can link up play with Firmino. Hope Sturidge and Cout will be back for the final.

I guess cannot as prone as current player of Liv has.... From the stat, he has 4 straight season under his belt that played more than 30+ games.

Positive points for me from this morning's game :
- we won and are in a cup final! - Flanagan played more than 90 minutes and is ok - we have rather good penalty takers : particularly surprised by Lucas - our goalkeeper is a confirmed penalty stopper - we are still surviving on all four fronts

He also has a long-term cartilage problem in one of his knees, which is likely to be highlighted when he has a medical at his next club.Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...l#ixzz3yRutiacY Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook QUOTE Steve Bruce said Hull made a huge mistake when they when they pulled out of a deal to sign Charlie Austin in 2013.
Bruce had lined up a £4.5m move for the striker, then with Burnley, following the Tigers' promotion to the Premier League.
The move appeared to be well advanced, until a medical highlighted concerns over a knee issue. QUOTE Harry Redknapp today signed striker Charlie Austin for £4million and says he has no fears over the striker’s long-term knee injury.
The 24-year-old, who scored 45 goals in 90 appearances for Burnley, saw a move to Hull collapse last month after failing his medical.
Austin passed a medical at QPR this morning and Redknapp said: “He’s obviously got an issue with his knee but that’s why we were able to get him. It doesn’t affect him. These? This post has been edited by solstice818: Jan 27 2016, 09:03 PM

damn BR was interested in managing MU... "When you manage Liverpool you know the Manchester United job is gone," said Rodgers. perhaps MU could overlook that minor technicality QUOTE(rjsyazwan @ Jan 27 2016, 10:45 PM) well, since they got pato just now...maybe not looking at texeira...duno if i kena troll or not...alex also told to a lfc fan in brasil? say supposedly Ayre willing to make Teixeira our most expensive player... i wonder how hes gonna fit in and where. unless Klopp will slowly unload some of our no10s.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Jan 27 2016, 10:39 PM) so ur statement can also apply to teixera. what makes u think he can solve the goal crisis? hes completely unproven in EPL. plus hes another no.10 in a long list of no.10's in our team... pretty simple, we clearly need forward who can run behind and score.. austin is a poacher.. we should stay away from someone who just stay in the box in the hope of someone pass the ball exactly reaching their feet.. completely unproven in EPL.. it is completely misleading myth told by many people and have cause us more million on this... torres lit up the league since day of epl. so on with aguero,alexis,costa.. hecks even benteke did amazing in his 1st season here and why suddenly he become unreliable for us? proven or not mean nothing if we are buying a player that fit to the team gamplay and benteke never suit us since he signed contract with the club yet no.10 no.1 or no.7 mean nothing if he can score... firmino outshine benteke every single minute everytime he played as a forward
