have anyone receive bank payment for last week? mine not in yet, already 12 PM sad.gif

Normally every Wednesday 9 AM already in. Not sure why it's so late for this week.
*
RM0.00 UBER : Payments are automatically deposited by Friday morning. Go to the Earnings tab in your app to see how much you have earned driving with us!

I guess due to the 4x boost they unable to turn around. haha.

QUOTE(Ginny88 @ Sep 28 2016, 03:19 PM)
If Uber accepts cash how to levy cancellation penalty on those using cash?

Maybe you can start your journey after 3 mins so you won't waste much petrol if cancellation comes in in the next 2 mins.
*
for cash rider who owe uber rm5 for example, during his/her next trip, will need to pay extra rm5 to the next driver. and uber will take the money via that driver (this driver is like middleman only).

QUOTE(UberMY @ Sep 28 2016, 06:16 PM)
That's not likely at this point in time.

Experiments with shorter waiting time cap in other cities have actually resulted in much lower rider request rate and partners' hourly earnings actually decreased, while the cancellation rate did not increase.

RM0.00 UBER: Ahmad, say goodbye to confusing terms & conditions. Die die must try: t.uber.com/byebyetncs2

very funny Uber. we want hourly guarantee unless the boost is 2x 3x 4x. not 1.2 1.3 1.4.

bye bye Uber. welcome to grabcar everyone. time to abandon this greedy organisation.

QUOTE(Error404 @ Sep 28 2016, 08:22 PM)
Actually what's wrong with new boost?

I think the new boost is good because if u really drive during PHG, u easily earn more than the PHG, meaning u don't actually benefit from the PHG.

Since now the payout is at least 1.2x, your 20% or 25% Uber is covered from the boost. In other way, you will get the 'full fare' amount from rider.
*
QUOTE(2feidei @ Sep 28 2016, 08:33 PM)
Because the new boost payout (if 1.2x) will be much lower than what you will getting if you hit PHG

Example

Say period 4-8pm, boost 1.2x. You drive 8 trips, but, all trip is short trip, not more than RM5. So, you get RM40 for 4 hours. Then, you compare, say, you hit Tier 1 PHG, which is RM30 per hour. With Tier 1 PHG, you guaranteed RM30 per hour, so, 4 hours, you got RM120. Then, you less 20% Uber commission, you got RM96

So, with this new booast payout, you lost our RM56, which is 58% of what you used to be getting.....so, you think it worth or not? Those aiming for PHG sure dulan lah  mad.gif , while for me, doesn't matters.... whistling.gif

Sorry for so much number analysis here, I think it better I give example with numbers rather than plain bullshit story with no supporting data of what UberMY wrote
*
The only good thing no more guarantee hour is you do not need to keep your acceptance rating high anymore.
You can pick and choose your riders and trips.

How is the area coverage for the earning boost? I hope it is not very small since the CSA for PHG is quite big. Quitesad that the PHG is gone, it was quite reliable unlike the new system that is more high risk.
*
for 1.3X and 1.4X same area as the previous CSA.
for 1.2X (lunch hour) only 3 areas.

QUOTE(yahiko @ Sep 29 2016, 10:29 AM)
hi there.

today i use uber for 1 hour drive to my destination. so i know and agree with the surcharge since is heavy rain and long distance.

Question: how does the drive get the full of the surcharged?  i kena 3.9x surcharge.
*
example normal no surge for that trip is RM10. with the 3.9 surge the trip become RM39. 75% driver takes, 25% uber takes.

Hi, is there a lot of girl Uber drivers? Is being an Uber rider a good way to meet girls and get their phone nos.?  rolleyes.gif  smile.gif  tongue.gif
*
met a few girl drivers while picking up / dropping riders. you can always get the rider number if you contacted them when assign to drive the rider. however after drop off the rider, you are not able to find the contact via the apps anymore.

Earnings boost is automatic on all uberX / uberXL completed trips in those areas.

The email was sent to Uber BLACK drivers to opt-in to receive both uberX AND BLACK requests. If you don't opt-in, you'll still only receive Uber BLACK requests, meaning you won't get Earnings Boosts.

Any insight information for tomorrow over the weekends promo for drivers?

But why want to opt for UberX if you're driving black?
Basically you're doing charity for rider & uber
*
To have bigger market of riders. Same like uberXL drivers, some opt to do uberX as well.
I rode on an Exora Bold before as uberX and the driver told me if uberXL sj x blh cari makan. permintaan sikit.

Actually is the boost & surge stackable?
Example fare is RM10, surge 1.5x & promo is 1.4x boost, do we get RM15 x 1.4? (Not yet minus Uber fee)
Or whichever higher we get?
*
nope whichever higher only.
surge = rider pays
boost = uber pays

QUOTE(galaxynote259 @ Sep 29 2016, 09:23 PM)
on average in KL, how much is the net earning per hour drive?
*
Uber used to offer guarantee rate RM30 up until RM35 per hour drive during peak hour like 4PM to 8PM.
However this has been taken out and replace by the so called 'boost' which is no different than 'surge'.
Meaning that to earn more, you have to drive like crazy now. Compare to last time guarantee rate, you can just sit back and relax. As long as you remain online, Uber will pay you.

QUOTE(Nicklly @ Sep 29 2016, 10:35 PM)
This "UberX Hourly Guarantees" still available for now?

If yes then I wanna chiong 99 1 day drive 12hrs

[attachmentid=7645526]
*
No more guarantee hourly rate. Replaced with 'boost' now. Check the apps.

UberMY, why some partner enjoying 1.2X - 1.3X and some are 1.3X - 1.4X ??

UberMY this is double standard. please explain.
just like why some old driver still 20% cut only while the rest of the newbie all at 25% cut to Uber. Why? confused.gif

With the new boost implementation, how will the acceptance rating impact the driver's credibility? Is acceptance rating still be important?
*
not important anymore. you can reject any long pick up request. but on the other hand, you still need to maintain a healthy acceptance rate so that you won't be warned / suspend by Uber.

See, now we are having proper discussions and feedbacks.

Anyway, to those who have issue with short distance trips, maybe you can think in such a way that a short distance trip may lead you to a destination where u may pick up a 'good trip', I.e. surge, airport, etc.

Averagely over a week, i have never encountered a shitty week where all I got was short trips and 'lost money'. It balances out wan.

Win some lose some.
*
guarantee hour actually cover those short trips with incentive. however now no longer the case as this guarantee hour already been abolished.

QUOTE(destiny6 @ Oct 1 2016, 11:11 AM)
how do you determine long pick up request? 10mins+ away or more than 5km away?
*
for me i will judge base on the time on waze. (because I feel the time base on Uber / Google map less accurate).
firstly, will accept the request and check the time required to pick up. if more than 10 minutes will call and ask rider his destination. if just short trip will ask rider to cancel or self cancel.
