QUOTE(Utopia Angel @ Jul 25 2017, 02:25 AM) This is considered gaming ? At worse, it's gaming. At best, it's bad practice. Whatever I say about Uber, it's none of your concern. Whether I go online or do a trip, it's none of your fcking problem as well. To me, I can afford not to drive or drive as I wish. To you, you are the real ''sei gao'' for Uber. A lap-dog for your master. Previously I ignored your reply, already give enough face to you. Want to talk nasty ? I have time for this nowadays LOLX... This thread was meant to be a resource and q&a for old and new drivers to share thoughts and ask questions. Every other day you come inside here and spew all this negativity and sharing all your so called tips, which is as I said above, bad practice. (I.e. calling rider to ask destination , asking rider to cancel, etc). It is already ascertained for a fact that those who are driving for Uber (or Grab) needs the income / additional income. Whether it's worth it to the driver or not, it's up to him. So yes, we are all lap dogs for Uber cause Uber is providing a platform for people to make money (no matter how much or less). So like I have told you many times before. If you have some proper sharing , you are more than welcomed to share. But if it's just condescending remarks every other day, then seriously why are you wasting your time in here when obviously you can be making money doing something better ? It's like I started a thread on Baking Cakes tips and pointers and all you do is come in here every other day to say 'Eating too much cake can kill you'. Gosh it's dreary. I need the income from Uber. You don't need it. Good for you. So can you stop beating this lap dog here continuously with the same old stick ? |

QUOTE(Mendieta_88 @ Jul 25 2017, 12:50 AM) ko ni mmg bodoh. dah sah lar derang ni 1 geng kaki bodek.biar derang trus jd hamber uber. ko sorang je buang masa buat pe? Ah ok, after reading it for the tenth time, I get what you are saying. You can call it kaki bodek, but I would like to think of it as just a bunch of people, doing the same thing, encouraging one another and helping one another. Many drivers have become my friend through this thread. And we support each other, through good and the bad. If this is called kaki bodek and hamba Uber, then so be it. If it's ok with you, can your future replies be in English? Pening my kepala trying to read your BM. And since English is required to be a Uber driver, and if you can't speak decent English, means you are probably not an Uber driver. If that's the case, I don't think you will have any valuable things to contribute inside here. Your next post will be reported. This post has been edited by ieian81: Jul 25 2017, 08:16 AM |

QUOTE(Utopia Angel @ Jul 25 2017, 12:07 PM) I am only lashing out at that particular "sei gao". How can one not get offended when you read back on your earlier comments, just because you stopped driving d, you went around making comments that IMPLIED that whoever still drives for Uber is some sohai who is getting ripped off by Uber, etc. Whatever my previous comments about Uber has nothing to do with him. But because he is so loyal to his master, he felt offended and went offensive with name calling. Show some empathy, not everyone has enough on their plate every month. If people can go out and make that little extra, it's his choice. You don't need Uber now, that's good. Don't make it sound like a FACT that Uber is like purposely trying to rip you off and that if you don't game the system, can't make money. I can show you a tonne of statements showing otherwise, but then other people will say I am doing it for recruitment. |

QUOTE(Utopia Angel @ Jul 25 2017, 12:57 PM) Not everyone driving for Uber is sohai, I don't mean this. Well I can tell you I follow everything that Uber says, 100% AR, 0 cancellation and I have been doing that for the past 1.5 year, unless it's a once in a blue moon situation. Almost everyone here knows my Uber income, so can you say it's the wrong way? But if you listen and follow everything that Uber tells you, then you judge for yourself. I admit I used to be a sohai also, accepting every trip and 0 cancellation. At the end of the day, less and lesser income from when I first started. And further new additions make things from bad to worst. The buttons available in the app means that I can utilize everyone of it. There is no rule which states that you must accept every trip and not cancelling any. This is not gaming IMO. I am just showing some ways so that the drivers here are not so ripped off by Uber. Fyi, cancellation rate there's a threshold. Whether they suspend your account or not it's another matter. Last time if your cancellation rate goes above x% and AR falls below X%, you won't get your incentives. You know how many complaints I hear on a daily basis from riders saying why nowadays all the driver call me ask where am I going, why all cancel on me, etc ? This gives the industry a bad name, and effectively it affects other drivers when the riders decide to give up on Uber, since it's becoming like a taxi already. My approach on Uber is very simple. If I am online, I will take every ride. Where rider brings me, I will go. Good trips, bad trips, it will average out. The rider is my priority. Anything I am not happy with Uber i will feedback to them. I shouldn't penalize the rider just cause I am not happy with Uber, it's not their fault. That's like you go to a restaurant, order a dish, the chef simply cook for you (or refuses to cook for you), cause he said his boss hasn't paid his salary, or his boss took away his handphone allowance. How would you feel as the customer? If the restaurant states the closing hour is 10pm, 9:55pm you walk in order a Chinese tea ice also they should layan you. Not ask you first what you going order before they decide whether to let you in. Isn't this what the service industry is about? We may be lap dogs to make a living, but at least should have some professional pride. This post has been edited by ieian81: Jul 25 2017, 02:12 PM |

Let's call a spade a spade.
Calling rider to ask for destination IS gaming. Don't believe me? Try and adopt this approach and hit the morning quest. Call and ask first before you pick up and only go if it's a short trip so you can finish the X amount of trips within that 3 hours. See if they will pay you the incentive or if they will suspend you? If they want you to know that destination, Uber would have integrated that into the system. If you want to know destination before picking, just do Grab la. You can't have the best of both world and expect the world to revolve around you. This post has been edited by ieian81: Jul 25 2017, 02:20 PM |

QUOTE(yhtan @ Jul 25 2017, 12:49 PM) First of all everyone of us need to respect people sacrifice their own hardwork and time to earn a living. Everyone has their own preference and choice which i cannot override. Exactly. Who are we to determine whether something is worth it or not for another person and then go generalise it as being fool or SLAVE as I always see here. A person might be happy doing cleaning and earning RM1k out from it, did u mock him and criticize ppl stupid or slave for his boss? As long he did not do illegal to earn living, please learn to respect him. After all he might think RM1k is enough for his living and stress-free because as long he complete his job, his boss will not make noise. Without any doubt Uber income is lesser, but the quality of customer is better than Grab in all sense. The apps has function to reduce the driver frustration on customer no show, late etc. If I have a tank of petrol, and my TnG has money inside, but I have no money for lunch and dinner. You offer me RM30 to send you to airport also I will do. Value is different to each individual according to needs, to go around calling other people slave and all is just plain condescending. |

And for all of you who likes to dissect the cost of Ubering until it's like worst than MBPJ sweeping floor, dissect this and let me know.
My monthly gross income from Uber is on the average 8500. Take this as a fact, I have shown enough statements here to not having to post it again. My petrol cost is 20%. Purely for Uber. My car installment is 470. I purposely bought an Axia for Uber. I service car once a month. RM250. I give you the pleasure of dissecting it till it means something. Shoot. What else? QUOTE(yhtan @ Jul 25 2017, 02:38 PM) This 8500 is based on 60 hrs driving per week, 240 hrs per month? On average about 70-75 online hours per week. I disclaim again first, nobody said it's easy job ya. or this figure is higher after Uber giving out quest etc? If not mistaken i saw Uber driver screenshot quest like Monday-Thursday XX trip RMXX, Peak hour 5-9am 5-8pm xx trips RMXX. Inclusive of the quest. The week day 54 and weekend 39 almost 100% hit. The daily ones not always, especially the 3 hours one, never hit before. This post has been edited by ieian81: Jul 25 2017, 02:46 PM |

QUOTE(z800r @ Jul 25 2017, 03:51 PM) Ive been camping at damansara damai for an hour. Still no request. Haha Per hour online RM20 is fair. RM25 is good. RM30 is very good.My 3rd day today. For today, 7 trips done and received rm64, 5hours 30minutes online. Is that okay? Average or below average. Just asking. Since im a noob I will online 7-8 hours daily. Not targetting 8k per month. Just 1-2k is enough for me. |

QUOTE(z800r @ Aug 2 2017, 08:36 PM) I just park my car for 25 minutes there, but no ping at all. So i gave up and planned to go to seksyen 14. Suddenly a request came and i just made uturn to pick up the rider. Not apps gone wrong. As we started to move, another driver call my rider and asked him, where are you. My rider said, ive got a driver la, maybe the apps gone wrong lah. Just my luck lah. Going to kajang and get rm24 extra boost. 👍🏻👍🏻 Your rider was being an asshole and double book Grab and Uber. |

QUOTE(bcombat @ Aug 3 2017, 02:34 PM) I kena this before. The uber said it is based on the rider app' booking time....the ping may take a while to reach drivers if there is other drivers' cancellation beforehand. All the quest is calculated according to the time the Ping comes into your phone.By the way just make complain to uber via your driver app. |
