last few days, i faced 2 "special" cases

When i was on the way to pick the rider A, suddenly an english or u.s lady called me to confirm whether i was on the way to pick her and inform me her waiting spot. I was though that the caller was rider A.
Once reached pick up point, rider A were actually malay couple who speak local english and they didn't call me at all.
was it something wrong with uber system at that time ?

Received this ping 2 and head to pick up point.
once reached pick up destination given, it was residential area
contacted rider to find put specific pick up point, and found that he was waiting at a mall 
the best part was he threw temper to me 
i was thinking must be the rider mixed up of the input pick-up and drop off location rather than uber system problem..

Hi all , Im a new uber driver. Have some question which about the cancel rating will affect the driver unable to get the boost ?

Hi im currently working full time and the reason me reactivating my Uber account is to make additional income as I need the extra funds for personal use.

This reason why I am here is to seek advice and help to see what I can do to gain additional pocket money and not to do charity work as you mentioned.

Yes I am driving a polo now because my previous myvi was forced to be sold for personal reasons hence I cannot drive for Uber since August and there is no way I can earn any income at that time.

Got myself a decent job and worked hard to earn myself a new car, hence why not utilize it to make extra money if there is any chance.

Kindly refrain from judging too early as you have not know anything from my side for using my own car to earn extra pocket money.

I am here just for advice or a heads up if there is anything I need to know before driving for Uber again. If there is nothing, I might look for other alternatives. If there is benefit in driving uBer, why not.

Received rider request, reached pick up location and call rider, riders says he has been picked up by another driver and on his way to his destination, my app still showing rider waiting to be picked up. To continue driving, I cancel the request, but now it affects my cancellation rate

If cash trip and the fare is example rm9.45, rider insist us to charge rm9.45 instead of rm10, kindly give the rider a 1.0 star

uber already instructed it partners to round UP the fare to the nearest ringgit. so we are just obeying uber orders. If so stingy 5 sen oso want to count, pls use grabcar

I have been driving Uber for the past 3 weeks fulltime. My account got deactivated recently ( i had a few 'fake' ride with my sibling to raise my rating, stupid thing to do, I didnt read the terms before).

I appealed and the process could take weeks and i think chances are slim. Is there any way i can get my account reactivate again?

Its no possible to drive under my borther account is it?

I got involved in a mishap.

GPS was acting up, my Celcom data was also acting up, and I was on way to drop off and busy mind mapping in my head on which road is the best to avoid the morning jam, when I mindlessly caused an accident. let's leave the description vague.

so, the ensuing medical-workshop ritual. we parted way on good term. so I hope. my total pocket damage was estimated to be around RM1k.

now, i'm going to be the man and admit that it was my fault, and not going to argue with that. take it on the chin and be a sport. it's a risk that we have to deal with when we are on the road, uber or not.

but as I was "on-duty", I take it as an obligation to inform uber what had happened.

after what had happened, it was much rather as a concern than anything else. however, I felt slighted from the communication with uber, verbal and written. from the conversation, what I felt, is more concerned about what happened to the rider. to top it off, at the end of conversation, I was asked if I can still drive for uber, and to still do so if I can. I was also "advised" to repair any damage to my vehicle before driving again, to avoid bad rating. everything sounded like "what are you complaining about? go back out there!" underneath. I do feel like a rag cloth right there and then.

I know. "tak suka, keluar". and uber was smart to term drivers as 3rd-party provider and not employees. but the experience left a bitter taste in my mouth.

previously, I was asking and reading around about what happened if met with an accident while driving for uber. I even went face-to-face over the counter. reading online, PIAM said no coverage if doing "commercial" using private vehicle. over-the-counter, poker face told me my private insurer will cover - "of course they will". malaysiakini also mentioned that some uber malaysia beaten around the bush when it comes to drivers' coverage.

before, last week, I told my spouse, no more late nights like during the 2-weeks trial. I drove around at different time of the weekdays, weeknights, and weekends to gauge the demand and experience. it's just slavery to drive max 10hrs to get RM100 before minus costs. petrol alone took out at least 50% from the revenue. the short trips are just plain nuisance. and not even sure LHDN will honour "minus costs" later. so, I probably just drive 1 or 2 trips before and after work; if I can cover petrol and parking costs for the day, I'd be happy. that was last week.

then this happened. made me reevaluate the risks involved.
/me didn't let wife know what happened; avoid giving ammunition to keep bringing it up again and again.

i'm not sure if anyone noticed. but the surge area been reduced a lot. and replaced with boost which is lower multiplier. sometime the boost is pathetic x1.1. really like buat kerja amal.
if you guys noticed this two weeks, KL during 5-6pm, there's no surge, only small boost, going in KL without high surge/boost really not worth it, given the traffic so terrible. Sri Hartamas boost also drop 0.3 on last week compared to previous weeks...

I'm here to share and giving heads-up. Shortening everything

Picked up a bunch of tourists (happy-fruit people) yesterday around 6pm at Jalan Alor, destination to KLCC. It took 50mins for 2.5km. What I got was a RM10.47 fare. Happy riders, upset driver. (not my first case, happened before)

Next, I decided to make a report to UBER to look into in and hoping they will adjust it. In short, since there's no major detour nor changes in destination, the fare was calculated base on historical data and bla bla.. they are honoring the upfront vehicle pricing system even in such condition. What I saw is, Rider is happy, UBER got flaw, and Driver will be f***ed.

It is at driver disadvantages to drive in such condition, heavy rain, unexpected traffic congestion. (I barely move 100m in 15mins at some point). I should have listen to my gut to get out KL around 5pm when I saw the sky getting darker. Why I stay and continues? What all of us love, the RED.

Next time, in such scenario, I will stay away KL even peak to 2.0x surge. Is a no no experience.

All of you sendiri pandai pandai calculate.. you may get 2.0x surge higher but it takes longer time to get to rider, rider end up cancelling it within 5min. Surge system is real time. In 1 min surged till high high.. in next few minutes starting to drop.. pray your rider don't cancel within 5 mins.. if you manage to get to rider, pray the traffic condition is not standstill because your car FC (fuel consumption) vs. Uber's UVP (upfront fare)

Lesson learned. Moving forward. Cheers and drive safe, guys.
