2 lousy riders I encountered recently.

1. Rider ping and pick up point at the back of Low Yet Plaza. That time, jam and could not able to go to the back of Low Yet Plaza. Many cars coming out from basement parking and security guard is handling the traffic there. When reached the back of Low Yet Plaza for pickup point, rider still not there waiting for me. Time is running out. Called the rider and rider also blur blur asking where are you, cannot see you. I was just in front of the back entrance of the Low Yet Plaza as what mentioned in the pick up point. Feed up waiting, TIME already run out and I am eligible to cancel it and get my cancellation fees and the security guard chasing me away. Sorry rider. If you are smart rider, please be smart !!!

2. Rider ping and I was almost there. Then rider called me saying the road there blocked and cannot go in. Telling me to go to another pick up point. I agreed and make another detour which is also short. When almost reaching there, rider cancel the ride. I was like WTF, I was only about 300m away from the new pick up point. Fed up, since I received his call earlier, then I should have his number in my Called list. I SMS texted him back "Why you cancel the ride? I was almost there. Please la. Don't play play. We are making a living here". Feel ok after that. Then I check the location he mentioned was block, actually there was no block at all. Stupid rider !!!

for me, I would not wait, and go to Cyberjaya/Putrajaya, or slowly go to Bangi/Kajang area.

Don't be crazy, 100+ is not possible/worthy to wait, just go on and move to nearer places like this bro.

Except the queue is super fast, eg Raya holidays which comes once in a year!

 

Waited 2 hours to 51 to 60 as I'm slept in the car. And then head to petronas ngv for toilet. Queue lost. Like wtf!! Got ping from Mitsui to sepang hotel rm35. Now 4pm stuck in klia with 100+ queue.

I once camp at Putra Prima always kena 25 mins 20km pickup. I thought the passenger will cancel but really wait me that long. Pair of foreigner though, nice people. Left me some good tips. 
Depends on the situation. If Friday and raining, they can wait. I once accepted a ride while still fetching my rider to destination. Total time taken from me accepting ping to picking up this rider is 30 minutes. Apparently she's been trying to get a ride in Uber since 4.45pm (I pick her up at 7.30pm).

I'm curious, you can see your queue number in the Uber app for KLIA?

Of course not, I stopped driving ~1 month ago.
I went online a couple of days ago while having teh tarik with my supplier in Klang - just for fun hahaha...
5 trips from 6-9 am is achievable.

During my last days driving for Uber, I keep a certain set of rules for myself.
1. >10 mins, no pickup.
2. >5 km, no pickup.
3. If Uber app shows 3-5 km pickup, but Waze shows >5 km, cancel.
4. If accidently accepted >10 mins / >5 km pickup, call and ask for destination.

Indeed, I make at least rm25/hour using these set of rules.
But at a cost of AR = 75% and CR = 15-20%.
And pings do come in continuously, even after I have cancelled a trip.

Call it ajaran sesat or whatever, but I prefer money > professionalism.
Enough of being made a fool by Uber.

I mean if a rider can demand all sort of safety requirements..as a driver we should have some too (even though we know how Uber treats drivers from news all over the interweb)

After hanging the keys for almost 1 month. Uber send me the weekend quest of 18 trips for rm140. I think I will still keep d keys hanging.

these parts still unclear -

~ psv license or juz simple driver card
~ full commercial insurance or just add protection for rider in existing insurance scheme
~ puspakom checking tinted film all has to be tear off to pass the VLT 70% test (by puspakom testing equipment, not tinting shop equipment)
~ car status convert into commercial car in geran, loosing out 2nd hand value ~ most honda, toyota driver would quit bcoz of this, left with proton perodua driver

things unchanged:
- grab/uber apply petrol vs NGV by taxi
- grab/uber pay toll class 1 vs class 4 taxi
- grab/uber not allow take road side rider

things changed:
- any car made can be used by taxi, not just proton. car maker + taxi association happy now.
- taxi can earn both way, no restriction. grab/uber only can get online booking.

Its all pure luck. Yesterday i camped at seksyen 17 for 30 minutes. Got ping nearby, i picked him up near seksyen 17. Going to kajang. Trip worth rm40. Then got extra boost rm24. Super nice

But today i end up at kinrara during 1.6x boost. No request. Lucky one amoi going to times square after waiting for half an hour

may i know if you actually park your car at the side and wait or go rounding the surrounding area for the ping?
