Despite McDermott have open several vacancies, I saw KNM also currently advertised at jobstreet. Any big project recently awarded?

I am done hunting roles with general civil construction/railways/MRT/LRT/HSR. There are conservative reservation from employers to employ O&G candidates nowadays. Penat ahhh.

Baik aku focus for power industry & heavy smelters & petchem.

So u did get an interview with them eh?

Weird why they view O&G staffs differently.. Core skills & competencies should be the same can be applied to construction industry too..

The headhunter who doing the lobbying on behalf of me provide the feedback. So dari aku attend tebiu with PDP LRT3 lebih baik aku tahu awal2 for prescreening. Anyway, I shall admit that I have zero experience in general civil construction, so I tak butthurt much.

O&G is open to employ others from general industry but when O&G candidates nak tukar angin machiam tak diterima pulak. Alahai. Menggaru kepala betul daa...

Oh okey.. Guess you have to keep trying to find a job in the O&G industry bro.. With your vast experience in the industry, should be able to get one, but need to nosedive more tongue.gif

I am not afraid to nosedive my rate but my only concern is the returning experienced Malaysian from overseas who are much more better than me and they are willing to nosedive their rate even lower. Diorang mana takut sebab bank account dah berkepuk2 duit due to high exchange rate...

Seems that the analogy from our politician saying that "You tak suka, you keluar" doesnt apply much in this sour economy outlooks globally. Lelz.

Ehh tercakap hal politik pulak dah laugh.gif

Green Dragon Gas Ltd., one of the largest independent companies involved in the production and sale of Coalbed Methane (CBM) gas in China, reported Tuesday a 50 percent increase, from $0.87 per thousand cubic feet (Mcf) to $1.31/Mcf, in the level of cash subsidy to be paid per Mcf paid for CBM produced. O&G open to others industry because they can play the figure, for management experience can be learn but the cost will keep at lowest, however others industry cannot accept O&G employees due rates have big different.

Unless anyone can attend the iview and just accept any amount so that it will be potential perhaps. doh.gif doh.gif

KNM - FY15 in line; a renewable energy play

Reiterate BUY; undemanding valuations
FY15 core results were in line, with a stronger QoQ performance in 4Q15. While RAPID will remain part of its core theme, KNM’s successful foray into the renewable energy space is a key re-rating catalyst. Valuations are undemanding. Maintain BUY with an unchanged MYR0.80 TP, based on 0.4x EV/ backlog, which implies 9x 2017 PER.

4Q15 core earnings jumped 6x QoQ
Core net profit of MYR17m (6x QoQ) in 4Q15 brought FY15 core earnings to MYR46m (+24% YoY), in line with our estimates but below consensus’ MYR80m. While topline was flattish QoQ in 4Q15, the stronger bottomline performance was driven by: (i) higher gross profit at its Asia & Oceania (+212% to MYR46m) and Europe (+29% to MYR68m) operations and (ii) lower taxes (-26% to MYR20m). The cost savings from the sale of its Australia-based KPL operations helped the Oceania business while German-based Borsig’s operations were the key anchor to Europe’s business.

High hopes for 2016; RAPID to anchor
Our forecasts are unchanged. We expect a 2x jump in YoY earnings in 2016, driven by its RAPID and EPCC works. We expect KNM to benefit from the upcoming RAPID petrochemical EPCC tender packages, which are expected to be awarded in 2016. Our model assumes an USD1b job wins from RAPID alone (1/3 secured to-date).

Move into renewable energy is key catalyst
The key investment thesis to KNM is its transformation into a renewable energy play, as it remodels its business, from cyclical to a more secured, recurring based income model. The Thai-based ethanol renewable energy plant will be its maiden venture into a BOO business. Securing the much delayed but anticipated Peterborough job is a key catalyst.

I don't mind coming back when things do pick up later. but alot of the folks which I'd spoken with decides its not a good industry to stay. The aftermath sure changed alot of peoples perception.
