QUOTE(Catalyst86 @ Sep 1 2020, 06:34 PM) Sigh, wanted this to use as a computer monitor. I searched and it seems Singapore is not bringing it in as well. Any ideas if we can import it to Malaysia? Just have to pay the tax right? Are you staying in Miri?Edit: I just asked Brunei's LG agent and they will check for me tomorrow whether they can bring it in. I bought my 65CX from them in May. ![]() |

QUOTE(Ciypher @ Sep 21 2020, 01:58 PM) I also first time hearing fiber optic hdmi cable. Not yet arrive at my place so i cannot give any feedback yet. But from what i have found, there is no 5meter hdmi 2.1 8k cable. Only 3meter. So anything above 5M and you need 8k cable, then fiber optic is the only option for now. Im not sure there will be any signal loss for 10 meter or not. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Sep 21 2020, 02:49 PM) No. CX is about 12.5-13k+. https://shopee.com.my/product/81286286/3822674983C9 isn't much lower than RM12k. It's the only choice if you have to use long runs. Understand that the fibre optic you can readily buy from ugreen, unitek, vention, etc. are using plastic fibre cores. Real fibre optic is made with silica glass and those aren't cheap. Fibre optic HDMI cables has been around since 2010ish. It's nothing new. There is no 5 meters HDMI cable because that is out of the HDMI's spec. Anything more than 3 meters is out of spec. Also take note that there is no such thing as a HDMI 2.1 or HDMI 2.0 (or any HDMI version) cable. There is only a HDMI cable capable of passing through said bandwidth or it simply cannot. It's mostly semantics, but it's important to know the difference because it's now far too common for manufacturers to plaster "HDMI version X" designation to their cable instead of displaying a certified seal (with a QR code to check). Usually these cables simply mean they haven't actually sent their cable to be certified. As of right now, there are NO consumer fibre optic HDMI cable beyond 10m that can pass through 48gbps. We will see some next year. So this one from vention is plastic fibre cores? Ahh I just bought 10meter version of it. See again when it arrive if it can pass through 48gbps (no idea how to test as well lol). |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Nov 9 2020, 01:42 PM) C9 is at my kampung workplace. This CX is at my town home for weekends use lol. Nowadays just use it for 4K movies + netflix. So i need rtx3080 pc + xbox series X haha. Most probably PC/C9 & xbox/CX combo because i spend more times at workplace. But seeing the news VRR is not supported, it is rather dissappointing. Hopefully there is a way to lock 4K/60fps. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Nov 9 2020, 03:27 PM) ^Get your facts straight. In conclusion, plug in Rtx3080 then we can enjoy ya? All i need is smooth beautiful gameplay. Smooth as in 4k60fps. VRR works, stop quoting articles that don't know jack shit about what they're talking about as they don't even have a C9/CX. VRR is however FLAWED, this has been known since more than half a year ago - when they enabled Gsync compatible for the C9 and when the CX launched. The denon X4700H also flaw? I read somewhere the hdmi 2.1 seem not working properly. Some more only 1 input. |
