Hmm, I am not sure what my OLED panel module code is like because that was back in December 2021 when my CX is still in warranty. If there is no dead pixels or severe banding on the new panel, I would say don't worry too much about it if it's EVO or not and just enjoy. Plus your manufacture date is so recent and Made in Korea.....

I calibrated and measured HDR peak luminance on my 3500++ hours CX and it's still around 650 nits at D65 (6500K). If vivid mode would be around 740 nits. More or less still within the capability of a CX.

I crossed check with HCFR also for 10% window and I am getting 674 nits HDR Cinema (calibrated via Calman), not too far off Calman values.

Cause the model name macam is across many generation of OLED TV if do some slight google searching.

Ppl with LG A, B, C series (from 2018 model onward) that goes for replacement panel seems to be getting this "AC650AQL"

So actually LG OLED Panel is generic among all series?
But tweaked and limitation by the motherboard?
*
It certainly looks that way if you google/reddit etc, but no one knows exactly unless people from LG confirms it.

I always go by the numbers and real scene quality. I am not really bothered by whichever gen panel it is. Having said that of course having the newer panel is better, but if the PQ is more or less the same don't worry about it.

True, the only thing i can say that it has some blue-ish tint (white screen) from certain angle

Example like Pink-ish tint middle of EVO panel

Need wait weekend only can do some deep adjustment and testing

Senheng SA says any issue just inform him, guess he really wanna get some commission (like replace the TV = sale)

Let the new panel run in first for at least a couple hundred hours. Then reevaluate.

warm2 is closest to 6500k. This is precab grayscale color temp chart. Slightly on the colder side.

BOTH panel + board for my E6 dead... total repair costs > RM9K, which I declined

Looks like it's upgrade time!
*
Not worth it already...just upgrade tongue.gif Can even get a C3 with that price. Or top up a bit with a C4

Yeah as for c3 vs g3, yea g3 83 lacks MLA but is still 30% brighter than their C compared to the roughly 50-60% with MLA I think. Unless you’re in a very bright room - obsessing over brightness is overkill. Just spec sheet numbers.
*
Higher brightness TV will tone map 1000/4000/10000 nits content better. Especially for content mastered at 1000 nits and if you TV is capable of doing over 1000 nits @ 10% window, bright highlights detail will be finer and stand out more.

So most LG Oled tv models are fake dolby vision?
Only your LG G3 and panasonic oled are capable for true dolby vision?
*
I wouldn't use the word "fake dolby vision" on a public forum. Let's just say for TVs with <1000 nits peak there will need to have a roll off on PQ EOTF to retain specular highlights (and of coure more tonemapping is needed for midtone and shadow details) details as opposed to a TV with >1000 nits peak doing a hard clip for 1000 nits content.

https://professionalsupport.dolby.com/s/art...?language=en_US

These are the requirements for mastering Dolby Vision Content. Tier 2 would fall under the "Grade 1 HDR Mastering Monitor" except the >1000 nits peak brightness requirement.

Is there a 83G4 in the horizon for Malaysia? Was the 83G3 released last year?
*
Normally I just refer to the sizes available on LG malaysia website. It seems like there isn't a 83" G3 released last year.

I enjoy reading your thread on fundamentals of TV calibration by the way. tongue.gif

So far burn-in issue is very minor i think, only things you need aware probably is dead pixels  sweat.gif

My C1 & CX both have multi dead pixel (by the time i noticed) after roughly 2 years+
Mostly developed on top edge in my cases.
Using case wise, it's nearly unnoticeable unless you super ocd.

Both now replaced new panel using final year warranty (2+1) and hopefully can last another 3 years.

LG 2 years factory warranty
Senheng Plus 1 member ship 1 year

You can top up another 2 years (I didn't last time) for a total maximum 5 years (2+1+2)

My CX had no red standby light and finally failed to turn on last month due to power board failure. Called LG and replaced with new power board for RM810 + Rm150 service charge.

Same thing happened to my friend's unit last year also.

You can check with the store. It looks like the white bar is at least "obstructing the viewing experience" (in my opinion only). But I am not LG.

I am curious to know if they still have panel for CX. Maybe new TV? brows.gif
