hahaha.. i just got my FishEye2 as Christmas present!!! Yeah
but suprisingly i cant finish the 36pics, still left 12pics, i wan to finish it fast and see the result I bought it at RM250 and i ask LCA is around RM800++. Something i still dont understand about the FishEye2 viewfinder. Should I see and aim using the viewfinder because is on top of the camera, then the picture will abit down-align? peggyliew: you got lomo cam? which type? mind to share some pic? thanks This post has been edited by tweetysamm: Dec 26 2006, 11:40 AM |

The following are the company's 10 Rules of Lomography: -Take your LOMO everywhere you go & whenever you go. -Use it anytime — day or night. -Lomography is not an interference in your life, but a part of it. -Shoot from the hip. -Approach the objects of your lomographic desire as close as possible. -Don't think. -Be fast. -You don't have to know beforehand what you've captured on film. -You don't have to know afterwards, either. -Don't worry about the rules. d8kd : i bought it from folio, 1U
sweetdew : i was in that forum and browse for quite long time before decided on FishEye2 xinanxxx : i read this rules before in the lomo website sweetdew : is easy to take whatever you see but the cost to buy the film and develop it will kill you. i just realize the film stil cost rm9 (iso200) per roll and the photo shop still charge handling fees despite not many ppl develop photos nowadays im still waiting for the outcome of my photos |

the LCA+ is RM980... and not RM800... now if you wan to buy LCA+ you have to order from them because they only bring very limited number of LCA+ to malaysia... The LCA+ is a improve version of LC-A.. it have new features like multiple expose.. a hole for tripod... and can set the apperture.. LCA+ still uses "Minitar 1 32/2.8" lens as the LC-A... seekelvin : i like no.1,8,9. how to do the effect for pic no.1? mind to share? thanks i've finish 2rolls!! the first roll turn out quite okie but mostly is dark due to the reason most of its are indoor. the second roll is better because i took it during my pre-new-year vacation, where most of the pics is outdoor. seekelvin : i saw the oktomat pic taken indoor, but why my fisheye2 cant take indoor? when i try to take indoor pic, it will very dark without the flash. any tricks here? thanks |

i had posted a thread waaaay back then about fisheye , but no one gave any thought to it , so i thought lomo was dead in LYN ... looks like i was wrong
but anyway my holga is in melb ... i'm pretty sure cheap lomo cams can be had from eBay for lower cost. |

QUOTE(tweetysamm @ Jan 4 2007, 03:22 PM) Siow : lomocamera is not that expensive compared to the maintenance (ie: film and developing + try-and-failure photos) QUOTE(seekelvin @ Jan 4 2007, 11:15 PM) lomo camera is not very expensive... the different type of cameras gives different type of outcome then? if you wan to start, probably you can try with some normal camera like fisheye, fisheye2, supersampler, action sampler, pop9, oktomat, colorsplash, frogeye or holga, this few types of camera are under RM300 and some is under RM200. but most expensive is film the fees to develop the negative. |

120 film is like 2.5 times bigger than the 135mm (36 exp film) film
120 films are called medium format film. of course there is a large format film but that's another story. |

i usually print 5R. RM 2 each
4R is RM 1 each i got this price from ESIX. i am not sure about others though. 1 roll of 120 for holga can give you 16 or 12 exposure. depends how u dessect your camera. |

Btw, what is ESIX? a shop name? sorry for noob its true, RM 1 is expensive. but it's a medium format. it's a different film all together.and they need a bigger scanner to print those negatives. hence, the higher price. ESIX is a photo lab located in pudu plaza. mind you, not pudu raya. it's pudu plaza. basically behind times square. i usually go there for my printings and stuffs. cheaper? not really. it's just that they give me good result. |

Yeay for Lomo thread at LYN!
We should stick this one up, and make more people into Lomocam so that'll the retail price here will drop Anyway, does anyone know that Wondermilk/TheClickProject is Malaysia's Lomography Embassy? Well that was like, two years ago, don't know what happen now. The page also empty already. So sad Now I really hope lomo here is big like at the Hong Kong . The only place that I know that we can get the Lomocam is Folio. I was hoping if anyone here could BULK the lomo cam so that we can save our money a bit. & now, I was hoping I could get my hands on the LcA+ & fisheye2 !! |

QUOTE(yitjuan @ Mar 2 2007, 12:41 PM) curious though. are these photos done thru fisheye? Yeah, confirmed fisheye lens. But must be one of those with >180' angle of view.http://haha.nu/beautiful/micro-planets/ or something with a whole lotta more skill? Just set the camera with that lens pointed at the ground, and raise it enough so it captures as much of the horizon and subjects as you like. That picture set is very nice. Here's the main collection: http://flickr.com/groups/360degrees/pool/ I think those fellas also digitally stitch together the photos for a large angle of coverage. I'm so tempted by Fisheye2 and ColourSplash. The features are so cool! Which one do you guys think I should invest in?
Btw, how do you guys create the effect of having like two pictures together? Do you reuse the film or it's a setting to be made? |

Do you reuse the film or it's a setting to be made? Pros buying fisheye2 1. i can have fisheye2 effect (of course) 2. fisheye2 have adapter for additional colorsplash flash 3. something not so normal compare to normal digital or analog camera Cons buying fisheye2 1. no specific color like colorsplash but you can try to buy those lantern paper with color, then cover the lens and shoot, the effect is the same, u can cover the flash only if you wan and the effect is different, you can buy as many color as you wan and change it whenever you like, if the paper is spoilt, just throw it coz only cost rm2.2 for 1meter 2. you cant have full 4R pic of photo coz there is some black the side for fisheye, but who care? thats the unique of fisheye seekelvin : might reconsider buying other lomo cam other than colorsplash? hehe:p just my stupid opinion and cheap way to fulfill my need for both camera |

I saw a FishEye2+ColourSplash camera on lomography.com. It costs around RM380, but it's still worth it cos it has all the features of FishEye2 and ColourSplash. Can't wait to get my hands on that camera!

Below are my first attempt on my fren's Holga 120S
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I would say overall i love the results, and since it's my first attempt and most things are under experiment, 6/12 turn out to be pretty good. although this is my first attempt on holga, it's my 2nd time on lomo. However, i didn't like the action sampler i bought ( or should i say, i'm not suitable for action sampler ) and sort of gave up lomo for a while and stick back to Film photography. |

QUOTE(seekelvin @ Apr 5 2007, 03:38 PM) developing fees 1. i got some confusion here, when we said cross process, which mean when the make the film to negative? i mean, let say, for the fresh roll we ask them to cross process c-1 for slide, then using the same negative for the second time, can we ask them use the normal e6 to develop into 4R photo?develop one roll of 35mm film is about RM5.. i got one offer which is print out a fresh roll is RM15... for cross process, we must use SLIDE film... then the processing fees is the same coz it using the c41 chemical.. not many shop know wat is cross process and not many shop wan to do because it will spoil the chemical... you must go to those shop which know this technique or else you will end up with your film spoiled like me... 2. its common to have slide film develop in c-41 (e6 - c-41), then does anyone try before to develop for negative film in e6 (c-41 - e6)? if yes, how much it will cost for c-41 - e6? thanks alot |

E-6 is the chemical used to develop SLIDE Films ( or some call them Color Reversal Films ) ii. C-41 is the chemical used to develop normal Negatives. iii. Slide films are different from Negative films, don't mix them up. when we talk about cross process, We basically develop the SLIDE FILMS using C-41 instead of using E-6. After the develop process, you'll still end up with SLIDEs, just that the colour will be off and there are some shades and tones ( greenish , bluish. ) Of course you can still print them out, however normal labs might not be able to do a good job, so i will say, go to a pro lab instead. To develop Slides using E-6, there are only 2 places that does it in KL, as far as i know. one is E-SIX in Pudu Plaza, another one is Applied Imaging in TTDI. Both are Professional Labs, and each roll of developing will cost ard RM 23, no prints included. of course you can sent your slide films to any small labs but they'll still sent it to either E-SIX or Applied Imaging. 2. No, you can't developt Negs in E-6, or at least i've never heard of... |

QUOTE(exkay @ Apr 6 2007, 12:40 AM) Depending on how "anal" one could be. scanning 135 format ( or better known as 35mm ) on normal scanner is not gonna give you what those professional film scanners can give you. but since it's lomo, guess it's alright. wow... another lomographer coming... welcome back to lomo... haha... dunno oh.. i go the shop do they don do for me as they say it could spoil the chemical...cross process will not spoilt the chemical. it's just that some workers are naive. 120 films can be usually bought at professional shops. I'm paying RM 13.50 for Fujifilm Pro 400H ( asa 400 ) if you're getting asa 100 ones, it'll be cheaper. as for slides, I've yet to buy a roll of iso 400 slides, i use to "kill" off rolls of Fuji Provia, Kodak E100VS, and some velvias. they all cost around RM 25 each roll Added on April 6, 2007, 6:21 pm QUOTE(exkay @ Apr 6 2007, 03:30 PM) okie, let's start with the Fuji First ( these are all Slide films ) i heard before and i see the effect of cross processing negative film... the effect is not very nice and the color is quite dull...Astia 100F = good for portrait Velvia 100F = good for Scenaries, Nature Provia 100F = For almost anything else. Professional range of slides will be around RM 25, Consumer range would be around RM15 ( more or less ) 2. 36 frames per roll. 3. how much to print arr? depending, If you slide has already been cut into frames, then usually it could only be done in Prolab, which would cost around RM1.20 to RM1.50 per piece of 4R. If the slides are not cutted yet, then it would be slightly cheaper, ( but still more expansive than normal negs, as pro labs uses professional kodak/fuji paper than those cheapo Kodak / fuji paper used in small labs ) . 4. Yes, scanning negs are around RM 8 per roll ( depending area and shop ), but slides are usually scanned at prolabs, which would cost at least RM 50 ~60 a roll, at A4 size ( that means you can at least blow your picture up to A4 size next time when u wanna print ), if you've cut you slides, then it would be RM5 per frame, of 5Megapixel. ( hope i'm clear here. ) Yes, Slides does blow your wallet and budget away, but trust me, if done properly, slides are actually Awesome. if you wanna see some slides, add me in MSN, maybe we could arrange a day and i could show you my slides, ( someone needs to bring a laptop or something that can provide back light tho.. ) Added on April 6, 2007, 7:31 pm QUOTE(modben @ Apr 6 2007, 06:39 PM) i just finished shooting on my expired nagatives. should be sending them out for cross processing in a few days time. will let you guys know of the cost and results when its done. QUOTE(seekelvin @ Apr 6 2007, 10:57 PM) hey you are damn pro... well, i did photography in college for 3 semesters and we're acquire to use films, ( we started off with normal films, then with Black and white, then later stages, slides. your film knowledge is very good and helpful.. thanks a lot.. i'm a noob also.... how come you know all the pricing so well one... in normal films, we do only basics, ( actually only few rolls ) but for black and white, we have to develop our own films and print it ourselves in the darkroom as for slides, there's a few assignment that uses it. but i use it even during my vacation trip to china. as for the pricing, i do work in photolabs( infact it was my uncle's ) as for the pro lab pricing, when you do spent like 10 rolls for one assignment, eventually you'll remember those pricing well... |

seekelvin, i not rich la. because i dont see much people doing xpro on expired negs so i just wanna try it out and see whats the result ma. spend a little bit and gain experience, ok what.
exkay, i got those expired negs (all fuji superia) from a camera shop in centerpoint bandar utama (stupid expensive shop, bad service, not recommended), a small mall close to 1Utama. there's still lots of asa100 (36 exposures) and asa200 (12 exposures) ones selling at 50% which is like RM5 or 6 i think which is still kind of expensive. the only price i can remember is kodak T-Max asa400 cost me RM16. Doomsday, i might join the event if i can somehow manage to finish off some of my assignments. |

Well, have u seen ppl showing real Slide shows ? those are slide films being cut and fitted in the white plastic frames. so that i could be fitted into that slide projector. Okie. Then should we cut it? Or we shouldnt? Normally how is your approach?2. usually the photoshop will cut and place it into the frames for you, unless you tell them not to. Once you touch slides, there's no turning back to Film hahahah Thanks |

QUOTE(exkay @ Apr 13 2007, 01:13 AM) nah.. film scanner? they don't sell them there don't they ? i mean not those CANOSCAN thingy but at least Nikon Coolscan. but to think of it, i dun have the expertise and experience and bionic eye to colour correct my work, hence having a Nikon coolscan is = useless for peeps like me. a nikon cool scan for ifer might be a totally different league. change your noob computer to a probook and get yourself a colour calibrator and i shall teach you what you didn't learn in this 4 years of education! |

QUOTE(jeff_cwk @ Jul 19 2007, 12:33 AM) wah, 2minutes ah? Both also BULB mode... The darker one, I hold it for around 40 - 70 seconds therefore not enough light exposed to the film.u hold it with ur finger or use something to hold it? the dark abit KLCC pic is normal mode or Bulb mode aso? The 2nd one hold it around 2 minutes. Yes hold it with fingers. I didn't use tripod, instead I just place my LOMO on top my new bought speaker box then snap KLCC... Luckily it was not much blur |

QUOTE(religionx @ Jul 24 2007, 11:35 PM) can anyone suggest me what type of lomo cameras? it is depends on what you want..colorsplash, fisheye2 or supersampler ? *or holga ? thanks =) supersampler is continuously take 4 pic in a period of time... best use in moving object... light vignette effect..... colorsplash is you can play with colored flash... and the cam will have some dark corner effect, which know as vignette effect... if you wan to go for wide view and multiple exposure, go for fisheye2.... it also have bulb mode... holga can use 120 or 135 film... 120 film is quite hard to get and a bit expensive to develop and scan.. but got multiple exposure function and bulb mode function too... strong vignette effect... |

Hey guys, ive been an avid Lomo fan for ages, although i haven't really been too careful with photos to wanna show them off.
Anyway, ive got a white colorsplash that unfortunately doesnt really splash color anymore.... Long story short, can anyone help me bring color back to my colorsplash.........? Just for effect, i have the colorsplash, the actionsampler, and a Holga120SF.. Yes, film processing does hurt, A LOT. Especially when the shop tries to be "clever"....cutting the images wrong, throwing away negatives that are "over-exposed" or "not clear so not good"... Thanks for the welcome..!
Unfortunately, the warranty is long time dead, even before i had the trouble with it..Are there any Lomo clinics/doctors i can send it to..? I really dont believe it'll be much, probably (i hope!) just a wiring issue, but i really dont feel right sending it to any ol' technician who may just screw up the camera itself..! Cause at the moment, the camera works fine, just that the flash isnt, well, flashing... |

Hello!! I'm interested with Fisheye No 2. Do you recommend it? Or is there a better option?
I understand that we use films, but how do I upload it to my pc? Scan it? Thanks. |

I see. All the pictures in the website was resized then. I didn't believe the resolution is so small.
BTW, how well do it perform in dark?? Is it mattered by the films as I read in a post? The market price should be around RM250+, is it? |
