Opened, I think they need flash global bloatware rom first, but i read somewhere said custom need inspect so must be opened.
I bought directly from DD, because I want to see it, touch it, play with it only decide. And also if you planning to buy there just ask them to flash global ROM immediately, so you have clean new mi5 to go  biggrin.gif
26gb ++ if not rmb wrongly

nikewee dat means DD can install clean global rom without extra charge? I'm planning to buy from DD

1 of the possibilities that could be is the shop does not have the stock for it. G5 does not have the latest info on available stock, unless the shop itself updates it.

Can't put all the blame on G5. Call up the seller and check whether they having stock or not. You can act like you interested in purchasing Mi5, then ask them whether there is stock for it or not. laugh.gif

Hey guys, I was just wondering, does the Mi 5 if purchased from China, work on local telcos back in Malaysia?

I am having the one and only version of Mi5 being sold here - TD LTE.

I noticed from the first post that the thread starter is also using a TD LTE model. However, can someone confirm with me if 4G will run on this device?

Thanks!

By right time division (TD) doesn't work in Malaysia. Mind screenshot your phone info? ( setting > about phone > *tap few times on internal memory > Set preferred network type).

Which only 中国联通 is using the both FDD and TD-LTE network in China, so in here we can use LTE also, here's my Digi connected with LTE network:

Hey! Thank you so much! That's EXACTLY the same model as mine.
And yes, it is indeed 全网通 ! I'm using Ch ina Unicom (中国联通) here in China and the 4G network is amazing. Just hoping for the same back home. But seriously, thanks for helping me out a bunch.

I've read alot that TD-LTE isn't supported so I was getting kinda worried but now that you mention DiGi works fine on your model (which is exactly same as mine), I do not have to worry about it anymore. rclxm9.gif

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like it works as confirmed by sss2sssss.
I'll be bringing mine back to use and get my friend one too. The Mi5 is REALLY expensive in MY. The 64GB version here is cheaper than the 32GB one Xiaomi MY is selling shakehead.gif

Nowadays xiaomi phone is support both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE so you should not worry about it since Malaysia use FDD-LTE
