Guys, does IKEA really that bad compared to contractor? Thinking of renovate my kitchen with ikea stuffs since they have good online review, but not much recommendation in forum?

contractor no tell you the pros and cons ?
cos ikea chipboard design for Europe country non water resistance chipboard ,
for our country chipboard,
Malaysia produces ourself at Kuantan is design for moisture area . biggrin.gif

So... Thats the only difference? I have not find any contractor, still in surveying stage so the only thing i see so far is from ikea. Can the contractor copy ikea's design?

Chipboard is still chipboard. Water resistant or not, it will still swell if there is area which water can penetrate.

If one is worried about water resistance, better use solid wood or plywood, even better, use aluminium.

but depend material some of the material different
may Higher some of material may cheaper .

Aluminium is better than solid wood or plywood when water is concerned. But I think it is expensive to install. I never bother to check the price.

Which part you never heard before?

Need ideas for a 50sq ft kitchen. Kitchen is going to be small and I want to find ways to utilize the space. Gotta find space to fit in the washing machine and fridge too.
