Yes it is safe. The laptop will be put into sleep after a while also. I plug in and leave overnight at least 5 days a week. And weekend I'm on the go doing, edits and some work. My laptop is 8 months old now. Coming to 9 months and since day 1 I've been doing it like this. No issues.

Nopes, no external monitor. Just want to elevate my Macbook Pro higher, hopefully, closer to eye level. Mostly ergonomic reasons.

Then the last 3 times it happens, i got my ip6+ and ipad to check and indeed it not isolated to rmbp, but also to my ip6+ and iPad when using same network. Its in fact the service that is dropping unfortunately. BTW i am using maxis fiber home network.

I'm having this problem too whenever I am trying to connect to 5ghz network. No problem with 2.4ghz.
Am using El Capitan.

The encryption process is stuck and I don't have time to fix it.

well, been conducting some testing. it appears that 5ghz signal is the issue. range issue.
i have no problem with 2.4ghz at all.

so i decided to use TM's Archer C5 as my access point to extend 5ghz range......

problem solved biggrin.gif
