Anyone know of a good way of getting rid of bedbugs and dust mites?
Was interested in the Sharp machine, until i found out it's a staggering RM1699. Siao....need a cheaper ( and tried and tested ) alternative.
Some people say steam vacuum. Anyone know/done it in Malaysia?

QUOTE(PangurBan @ Jan 4 2016, 07:20 PM) Is it effective and where do you get it and how much? Very effective. I can easily get rash and itchy if there is dust mite. Cause I don't wear shirt at home. Before put in bed sheet, use the steamer on the bed or furniture. Steam produce 100+c temperature. That definitely kill any germ and mite or whatever. But normal garment steamer are not strong enough to shot the steam deep inside. So you need to get the certified 1. Got it from lelong.com. For rm399 if not mistaken.

Another method is humid. Dust mites can be kill if humid lower than 40-50.

Thanks for the responses! Checked with a friend who got bedbugs, and she tried using this product:- http://www.richsoil.com/diatomaceous-earth.jsp which is supposedly food grade, so I'll give it a try. Some powder thing lah. In the end, she also bombed it with a exterminator/fumigator though..hahaha...few hundred bucks. Cheaper than the Sharp! ( but duh, chemicals...)
