cFosSpeed.

I've been trying CFoSpeed for a week.  Its default setting & Favour Ping option works pretty well for me.  For once I've no issues with streaming from youtube & online tv smile.gif
*
Good to know it works for online streaming. But I'm not too sure abt 'favour ping' yet. All I know is, it works well for online gaming drool.gif

Sorry guys I've been away. I was kinda lazy to BUMP this post since I think almost every forumer has already heard of cFosSpeed. Keep up the good work for those who shared with their friends abt this app. Thanks everyone for supporting this thread too... I guess I'll be toning down a while since my work here is done. I have gotten to date, 28 good reviews including myself. I think that speaks enough for those who are curious to try this software out. Cheers guys... and may this thread carry on in peace icon_rolleyes.gif

You should read the instruction carefully.....
theres no need to use so much firewall, so leh just uninstall it.

Yes, disable the built in firewall in cFosSpeed. It will have conflicts later...

guys is cfospped able to run in vista? kinda confuse here... windows xp program all can run in vista? biggrin.gif

Vista is Vista... XP is XP. They are different.

Even Windows XP 64 bit Edition is different from Windows XP Home/Pro. The software is not compatible. According to them, they will release a future version for Vista. But it'll take some time sleep.gif

10000 Views!!!! lol....this is crazy.

Btw, just so you know, its better to switch off cFosSpeed's built in firewall. It seems that a few users have found some complications with their own firewall and also windows xp's own firewall.

huh.. quite funny.. since i've installed it for last 3 weeks not so much different in term of browsing speed.
but just now tried to calibrate for one more time.. then.. its rock!
dunno whats wrong..
*
Could very well be the missing 'send calibration pulse' that we have been missing out on the new versions.. laugh.gif

Nah just kidding... actually it makes sense to calibrate again means to reset the settings to adapt to your connection again. Kinda like a 'refresh' if the settings went heywire of course its good to reset it again.

3 of the most famous peeps keeping this thread alive other than myself is

Cosef & eXPeri3nc3 & william4835.

Nice.... nice... I can tell you guys are very enthusiastic in the software and supporting it.

I wanna know, who here has bought the original license for cFosSpeed? Hmmm? Hmmm? Faster confess.... whistling.gif

Btw, I just ordered mine. I'm now waiting for the license. Purchased it at 9euro. I still feel that its a steal for a lifetime license.

FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

I have my original cFosSpeed license key!! Haha...

I, J-Slade a.k.a the threadstarter of the cFosSpeed thread (which was created on the Dec 13 2006, 11:33 PM) finally has my OWN license key on the Jan 17 2007, 07:02 PM....

Sorry for the big fuss la but this is my first ORIGINAL LICENSE in my life. I've never used original software ever... blush.gif

I have to admit if you see carefully, I have used this more than one month only I got my license that means half way thru I used *ahem* punya license ph34r.gif

But you know what, for some reason the original license feels faster than both the trial and the *ahem* license... or maybe its just all in my mind blush.gif

Btw, if you're smart enuff like what I did, 9euro can actually be very cheap (if you know how to get around the currency exchange brows.gif )

What does the Connect to 'Streamyx' meant for ??

I already connected to Internet...still need  to connect huh?blink.gif

Anyway to tweak this CFOSSPEED?  smile.gif
*
Connect to Streamyx is like for those who use normal dial in ADSL (not using router modem) so instead of clicking the dialer, you can right click on the icon at the taskbar and connect to streamyx immediately.

From my understanding and my experience, it will NOT help much in boosting the BT speed.

BUT, it can help u to surf the web while u r downloading BT. Sometimes when u download BT(most of the time), u cannot do anything, let say Surfing, play online games.

once u use cfospeed, u can BT & Surfing in the same time
*
BT, Surf, MSN, Yahoo & Skype(with voice calling) all at the same time. brows.gif

Heck, i can even play Kong Kong or DoTa while on Skype with cFosSpeed.

*edit*
Oh, I forgot to mention.... all of the above activity without any lag thumbup.gif

Don't know if you guys know about this but the cr*cked version does not work after the 30 days trial. You will see that you can no longer edit "window settings" and you can't switch between favour ping time/bandwidth.

Take my word for it wink.gif

Can u brief a bit regarding the BEST CONFIGURATION of CFOSSPEED?

We know it's a great software..
But we donoo how to make it great~~
Thanks for your concern ! smile.gif
*
To be frank with you, cFosSpeed works well even with default settings. Of course, the one thing I would advice you to do is,

1) Uncheck "Strict RTP Checks"

2) Place softwares that you need the most out of your bandwidth to the highest priority. By default, all p2p software runs at minimum priority but if you're not doing anything (not even surfing the web) it will auto set to the highest. BUT if you wanna run your torrent or p2p WHILE surfing the web, the set those softwares to a higher priority or even highest. But don't blame me if ur web browsing started snailing after that, cos bandwidth is still bandwidth. You download more, you surf less.. makes sense right?

3) Use the appropriate "Favour Bandwidth" or "Favour Ping Time".
- Bandwidth for downloading
- Ping Time for online gaming

Thats all I know for now, it still works great for me. Of course, I'm using an original license smile.gif

My line is slow too these few days. Even for Malaysian sites. Its probably due to the restoration works for the broken linkage...

Guys, I want to announce something. Today I test cFosSpeed to the extreme.

► Online on MSN
► Online on Yahoo
► Online on Skype
► Downloading stuff on µTorrent
► Playing DoTa

Okay, here is the test results.

► Online on MSN without disconnecting (without any chat)
► Online on Yahoo without disconnecting (without any chat)
► Online on Skype with Voice Call to my gf without any lag and in real time.
► Downloading on µTorrent @ ~50kBps DL, ~25kBps UL
► Playing DoTa on our favourite BiruServer with low ping (only 39) and no lag.

This is the TRUE function of cFosSpeed. To distribute your upload packets so that all your softwares can run without any interference... icon_rolleyes.gif

p/s: I forgot to add, all of the above activities was done at the same time simultaneously wink.gif

Got no comments bout that server, but, it's normal for cfosspeed if it's just skype, utorrent, msn and yahoo plus web surfing simutaneously. smile.gif
Dota... I dunno lah  sweat.gif
*
Yeap I can skype and Dota at the same time.... no problems whatsoever. Maybe its good for people (friends) wanna play together online then they can communicate...

I really respect the creator of this software... to delegate and distribute upload speed. Solves all the problem of multi-bandwidth-tasking... notworthy.gif

hey... cFosSpeed newbie here... after downloading and installing this prog, is it done? will the program configure itself? if not what should we do to maximise this utility?

Yes it is done. Everything auto configured. But you can manually configure like giving certain application priority over others..
