Digging is too general. Tunneling is a very specific way of engineering.
Open trenching is also digging. Tunneling you don't see the daylight.

so is not wrong for me to use dig.
between, this is not engineering talk or forum.

let say, if Malaysia gov able to create a public transport similar to SG quality but implement RM300k for 10 years COE to the car and increase road tax by 1000%.

Will you all agree?

Because when you use the term dig, its as if you are going to tench through existing properties.
Whereas tunneling will NOT affect them.

of course can. by that time a cup of kopi-o-ais would be RM67 and rental in Dengkil South would be RM32,000 a month

Electricity cost for charging your iPhone 92 will be RM5,000 a month

guess what, your monthly income is still RM2,600 and you should work 18 jobs, and wake up at 2am to go to work

Not possible.

While congestion pricing has been done in Singapore (ERP) and London, implementing Singapore COE and high road tax here is unnecessary and cause undue hardship.

The transport needs of urban area and rural area are vastly different thus it is unjust to replicate SG COE system.

We should just look into improving urban transport system in major cities and having local governments to run local shuttle buses.

Tunneling still will affect the properties on top right? even low chance.

Else why MRT project still hit many problem from purchasing back those land?

No. With proper engineering, the property above will not be affected. In Sg, they were tunneling underneath the skyscrapers! No big deal.

Maybe this COE system apply to car that drive into city area only.
only COE paid car can enter City while unpaid COE car who enter city will get a 10k saman..

So all city is well connected of public transport similar quality with SG.

If Malaysia has good public transport, less people will buy cars, in the end Government has to spend money build public transport and lose tax money from car sales. it's like slapping one self left & right. Good thing even by 2020 KL will be the only city that has public transport that can be called public transport, rest of the cities still have to buy car & motor.

Singapore had their plannings very early when highrise is still not so abundant. KL just build highrise like trees in wild forest. So MRT will bound to hit a wall or 2 when they are building it. there's probably alot of turns on the MRT tracks to avoid those building structures.

Our government is short-sighted and can't plan far ahead.

Only in recent years they started to realize the importance of having an efficient metro system.

Look at SG, their bus and rail are so well-integrated. Bus hubs are in every towns. Some MRT stations even function as a bus hub.
*
no choice, because BN lost their vote in KL, so have to start build these public transport to woe voters back, if not you buy car they more happy. Proton or AP all happy.
