QUOTE(Jessica JM. @ Jul 11 2023, 03:55 PM) Hey everyone. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3894106I've heard that we can get free business or first class flight tickets using air miles. Do any of you know a credit card that might be worth considering? I usually fly with Air Asia, so does that mean I can't use air miles for redemption? Or should I concentrate all my monthly expenses on just one credit card in order to earn enough air miles for redemption? Read this. If AA, don't bother with miles, not worth it. For local cards, aim for Enrich, Krisflyer, maybe Asiamiles. |

Can put a FD as pledge for the Cards, if income cannot meet the requirements. The income requirement is now much lower then the original when the card was first launched, RM180k.
That's what many are doing, just put everything on the Cards. Some even put company/business spending on their personal cards. |

With the big haircut to convert, both directions, I can't see anyone actually wanting to convert. |

For short haul, not worth redeeming business class. And for medium haul daytime flights probably not worth it either, unless your are overflowing with miles.

QUOTE(taipan22 @ Jul 15 2023, 01:26 PM) At the moment, the chain (I think 4 outlets so far) only accepts Priority Pass, Loungekey, Citi, and premium passengers of MH and OD in BKI/KCH.P/S Hang on, this is Flight Club, which is a sub-brand of PPL. It's a food outlet (similar to the old Green Market). At one point, before Covid, The airside Wellness Spa included a set meal from the Flight Club outlet just outside the Spa entrance. Same group. I am referring to the new Pay per use Lounge call Travel Club. This post has been edited by limeuu: Jul 15 2023, 02:37 PM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 6 2023, 08:18 PM) ? No. It is the AAX's Unlimited Pass they released when the pandemic just started. Oh ..so the "unlimited pass" becomes just RM499 in credit, which don't buy much flight nowadays.https://soyacincau.com/2022/04/28/airasia-x...ravel-vouchers/ |

hotel redemption with airmiles is generally a poor deal, hence few people actually does that.

No go for Maybank card holders, as redemption finished within half an hour.

QUOTE(Chronotech @ Sep 1 2024, 03:38 PM) UOB seems the better card for KF miles or whichever airline on their list. Customer service is horrible even Maybank is way better when you call. I am not familiar with UOB (ex Citi), but my understanding is you need 2 0r 3 cards from them, and use the appropriate card depending on the nature of spends, collect under and redeem under the Zenith Card?Looks like I have to rethink cancelling my UOB Zenith card given the Maybank redemption fiasco. Local spending with 50% annual renewal bonus is better than M2P cards for miles conversion. In addition to unlimited KLIA premier limo and USD500k travel benefits including medical under the World Elite Mastercard benefits. For overseas spending some of their cards give 8x to 10x points and you can redeem for 6,400 points for 1,000 KF through Zenith card WITHOUT any restrictions. Still a massive downgrade when the card was Citibank Prestige. At least UOB waive all the SST for main and supplementary cards. Annual fees? |

QUOTE(eugenelam85 @ May 16 2025, 04:13 PM) anyone knows can the maybank krisflyer amex platinum credit card annual fee be waived on second year onwards? Maybank normally don't allow ad hoc waiver of annual fees on requests. KF Gold in the past did allow after 9k spends, but platinum no waiver. eugenelam85 liked this post
