Cool, So from penang to singapore will also be Singapore airlines right? They won't like ask you to use Silkair to take as transit plane and let your board Singapore airlines starting from singapore to london.
*
There is complete code sharing between sq and mi....so you can book under either....in any case, they are in the process of merging mi back into sq....so by maybe next year, no more mi....

QUOTE(pingoz @ Jan 29 2020, 10:11 PM)
Does this apply to Suite/First Class? Not able to find Suite/First Class on the redemption page, eg: Pen/KL > Singapore > London
*
in a multi-sector search, if a class of travel is not available in one sector, you will NOT see that class for booking....so there is NO booking on f or w class from msia, as the aircrafts used only have j and y...

if you want a mixed class redemption, you have to either book the 2 sectors separately, or call them up to try make a mixed class redemption manually....

QUOTE(hwachong @ Jan 29 2020, 10:21 PM)
PEN-SIN only served by silkair currently
*
so you get a sq code ticket between pen-sin on a mi metal....

the problem is with kch.....which is served only by tr....which while code shares with sq, and you can book revenue ticket starting/ending at kch, you cannot redeem miles....

No such card.

There is.....rhb premier vi gives you 8 points per RM spend overseas, and convert 6000points to 1000 enrich miles, giving a conversion rate of RM0.75 per mile...,

For food, if not accept amex, I use also, as get 3 points, it RM2:1 mile compared to muvi RM2.50:mile

Is there a new app that is replacing Arrture? From what I heard, seems to be without expiration date for the points.
*
Smart traveler.....points still valid 3 years.....not sure why they decided to start another app....

The staff told me the points are evergreen  bangwall.gif oh well...
*
It's the same points system....it's only the software used to track the points....arrture app still works, both showing the same points....I run both side by side....lol

What’s good about arrture?

It’s something new to me.....
*
Usual "loyalty" programme....earn points each time you use a lounge....then use points to redeem various things.... predominantly vouchers to enter lounges of upgrade to pp first.....

Do you hold one ?

I understood have to be oversea retail spend ? Online doesn't get you 8 points ?
*
Like ambank's cards, it must be retail spend overseas....online gets 3 points....

But we all have to wait for the skies to open fully, post COVID... having said that, I'm sure most of our frequent flier privileges have been extended by the respective airlines. SQ automatically extended my PPS membership by another year - there was no way I could have flown the required miles due to COVID.
*
unfortunately unlike many other airlines, mh hasn't announced any extension of their status, will be impossible to retain gold this year.....i hope they will automatically extend all 2020 status into 2021.....

For the usual short haul domestic or regional sectors, the elite points remains the same: 2 for J, 1 for Y....but now you need 60 points to reach gold, instead of the previous 50 sectors....so it's worse for domestic....

But for long hauls, it's easier now....

For the past 1 year because of border closure I wasn't able to fly SQ, instead been using MH for my trips. Wasn't aware my Enrich already accumulate enough to get into Silver (OneWorld Ruby equivalent). Any other special perks with this?
*
Silver is pretty useless....no lounge access....but that's getting moot anyway, since they closed many of their lounges (KCH and BKK being the 2 important ones shuttled)...

Flights out of Singapore is exorbitantly high now even for Y revenue ticket. RM11k flight to London. More than double of what I pay back in Dec 2021. Singaporeans now are doing a "revenge travel" after border re-open
*
yes, crazy prices now, as the demand growth was beyond expectation....plus other airlines haven't quite reinstated many cancelled routes....

I saw that, but I don't feel it's worth it. Hefty yearly fees + no lounge access...
Edit : what do you think about the city premier miles card ?
*
The 2 cards premier (man U visa infinite preferred) is actually the best card to accumulate airmiles....and you should be able to spend 80k a year to get the AF waiver to be worth it....if you spend 80k on Amex, you actually get 80k miles already....

The visa infinite allows 5 entries into a range of PPL worldwide...

redemption with KF became a problem when SQ downgraded their EM services from silkair to scoot....which then disabled the ability to do any redemption from KCH or BKI....

So the options are redeem from either SIN itself, or from KUL, and then make your own way to SIN or KUL....

The flights to SIN is night so means an overnight stopover unfortunately...but you can do a reasonable connection at KUL if you book from KUL...the miles needed is the same....

either way, need to pay your own way to SIN or KUL.

which is the best frequent flyer card enrich or krisflyer? now
i try to redeem enrich, now the required point almost 50% more and the charges to Japan already rm1000++
the cheapest still korea.
*
Enrich redemption is now based on revenue ticket price, not zone...so under the current high ticket price environment, the miles needed is crazy...

Under such high price conditions (even for Y), SQ SF is definitely better value.

true. price even higher than pre-covid time.
btw. if purchase via shopee using amex reserve, we still got 5x points? i know pay utilities bills only got 1x point
*
Online shopping using direct payment through Amex Reserve should be full 5 points, but if used to top up into a wallet may be only 1 point.

Krisflyer cards only give miles, not treats points. No miles for government spend, removed in 2019.
