Not sure if the TV has it, but could be a bad CMOS battery.

Okay... I don't really get how this is a "normal" thing.. I've got no such date and time issues on either my Samsung TV or Minix box. Most nights, the whole extension plug is powered off and when powered up the next day or days even, it immediately shows the exact date and time. Basically like a PC or mobile device.

Don't own this model but following the thread... If a full power down and cold boot doesn't resolve this. Try an uninstall and install.

I believe he's talking about the Android feature where system apps can be updated from the Play Store and can also be rolled back to the initial version that shipped with the firmware. This initial version is the one that can be disabled but not easily uninstalled.

Not owner... But here are the dimensions for 50 inches..... Should give you an idea to go bigger or smaller.

It’s genral knowledge that Plasma TVs perform much better at motion handling than most typical LCD-LED TVs, especially with entry-level ones. I believe what AVFAN told you is correct. Before dissing on the TV's features, you must first test it with proper media content. Hook up a decent blu-ray player, pop in a couple of unadulterated Blu-ray discs and sit back to compare while tweaking motion settings if need be. Bet you probably downloaded that 720p movie from a questionable source and have no idea the amount of processing and what nots that it went through before being uploaded for download. Even Blu-ray rips floating around have varying degrees of quality. Nothing beats the physical disc. Try that.

I own a Samsung TV and not a fan of them fancy motion smoothing tech. I turn all off as I want to see swift proper movements as the director intended. Smooth playback especially properly done Blu-ray. My 2 sen.

Excellent feature..

IMO, HDR significantly boosts a TV's contrast ratio and allows for much finer detail in the shades in between. It comes alongside another feature, wide color gamut (WCG), which lets a TV produce more colors than most current sets are capable of. Main TVs aren't changed so quickly so better to get latest tech in order to use the best features for longer. I'd definitely go with a HDR equipped TV. If you own or plan to own a PS4, it'll come in handy too.

That's normal regardless of res...Those black bars are due to the aspect ratio the TV show or movie was filmed in - seeing them means the title was filmed in an aspect ratio that isn't a perfect fit for your screen. It'll appear on some big, others smaller and rest full-screen image. So just relax and enjoy the content.

Due to discounted pricing, vouchers etc..I mean cheaper is good right... More and more are buying from online stores, especially if you already know the exact model to buy.. Some physical shops like SH also have online stores with Lazada..Whichever seller you choose, just be careful and buy preferably within your state to avoid potential delivery damage. With Lazada, sure you can return or refuse the delivery even...but then it becomes a time issue where you'll have to wait for a refund or suitable replacement.

Got mine couple years back from HM.. For big ticket items such as these, I prefer to deal with a physical shop and get extended warranty. So if any issues, I know exactly where to waltz and flip tables for speedy fix.

Did some light reading and hopefully it isn't the Motherboard that needs replacing.

Ah.. Looks like it's going to be a well-known manufacturing defect for that model. Hope it's a onetime fix then.

Yeah... Figured that part out as others confirmed it. If indeed the remote keeps drawing power nonstop, then it's a massive flaw. Since it has a mic, I'm assuming that voice commands are possible. Maybe it's listening and waiting for voice commands.

Yeah, it's restrictive in order to preserve the primary reason Android TV OS was built. By right it should not allow any installation of apps outside the app store. So I understand.
