QUOTE(vamfire @ Aug 30 2017, 09:35 AM) Done factory reset, check router setting, etc. but the date/time doesn't auto update still... I have android box as well but it auto update no problem, setting in the box and tv is mainly the same... I noticed that this happen only when i switch off the power from the wall socket, if I just switch off through tv remote and leave the wall socket on, date/time is ok... Is this some bug with android v6.0.1 maybe? Do you guys with v5.1 has this problem if you switch off your wall socket? Not sure if the TV has it, but could be a bad CMOS battery.

Okay... I don't really get how this is a "normal" thing.. I've got no such date and time issues on either my Samsung TV or Minix box. Most nights, the whole extension plug is powered off and when powered up the next day or days even, it immediately shows the exact date and time. Basically like a PC or mobile device.

QUOTE(vamfire @ Sep 6 2017, 04:48 PM) Archer C1200 is indeed TM Unifi supplied router, quite problematic i heard from the unifi threads... No major issues using it right now so i guess i'll keep using it Recently i added sd card and formatted as internal storage, planning to move some of the apps into it particularly download manager (ADM) The only thing i'm not able to set up is that dem Astro app, installed old version it can run & login but then it require the app to be updated to newest version in order to view the channels... sigh... My wife still cant ditch those shitty Astro channels eventhough I enlightened her with the power of streaming Me: behold! kodi/showbox/mobdro/etc... Wife: nah... i rike astro still...

QUOTE(masterchief81 @ Oct 22 2017, 11:49 PM) Hi I have the Sharp lc50ue630x, and I want to ask sifus that since I updated my YouTube app to the latest version, I notice I am unable to view any 60fps YouTube videos on my TV, it only shows the loading ring. Other videos can play fine. Any other users having this issue? Is that an app or TV issue? Please help. I notice that on the old YouTube TV app, the 60fps videos does look choppy anyways. The updated app just doesn't play at all. Thanks. Don't own this model but following the thread... If a full power down and cold boot doesn't resolve this. Try an uninstall and install.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Oct 23 2017, 11:16 PM) can u describe how u uninstall, prevent update? i thought youtube is a "fixed" app, can only disable? I believe he's talking about the Android feature where system apps can be updated from the Play Store and can also be rolled back to the initial version that shipped with the firmware. This initial version is the one that can be disabled but not easily uninstalled.

QUOTE(xphossis @ Nov 22 2017, 06:31 PM) Dear UE630X owners, anyone would be kind enough to give me the stand measurement? I have a small table to fit tv just want to know the measurement to see if it fits or not. Not owner... But here are the dimensions for 50 inches..... Should give you an idea to go bigger or smaller.

QUOTE(arvind13 @ Dec 22 2017, 09:49 AM) I played a 720p movie on my TV via USB but still had the motion judder during fight scenes or fast action scenes thus believed it could be due to TV refresh rate only allow up 60Hz. Didn't have this motion judder on my samsung plasma full hd tv. Perhaps it had higher refresh rates than my new sharp tv. :/. It’s genral knowledge that Plasma TVs perform much better at motion handling than most typical LCD-LED TVs, especially with entry-level ones. I believe what AVFAN told you is correct. Before dissing on the TV's features, you must first test it with proper media content. Hook up a decent blu-ray player, pop in a couple of unadulterated Blu-ray discs and sit back to compare while tweaking motion settings if need be. Bet you probably downloaded that 720p movie from a questionable source and have no idea the amount of processing and what nots that it went through before being uploaded for download. Even Blu-ray rips floating around have varying degrees of quality. Nothing beats the physical disc. Try that. I own a Samsung TV and not a fan of them fancy motion smoothing tech. I turn all off as I want to see swift proper movements as the director intended. Smooth playback especially properly done Blu-ray. My 2 sen. QUOTE(axenophage @ Jan 4 2018, 10:22 AM) yes logitech keyboard & the mouse provided FOC is good..the only thing is some time when you need to go previous page need to switch back from logitech to Sharp main controller and press back..as for another sharp controller with the touchpad, i think this is suck and within a month battery already finish.. Also I find out when I press Ctrl+Alt+Del on the keyboard will restart the TV if the TV sometime hang for unknown reason such as cannot enter netflix and cannot open youtube.Excellent feature..

QUOTE(ryder_78 @ Jan 15 2018, 02:43 PM) Contemplating between Sharp LC60UA6800X (60") UHDR and LC65UE630X (65") UHD. The smaller 60" screen is newer and comes with HDR while the larger 65" doesn't have the HDR. The LC60UA6800X (60") is RM5,600 and the LC65UE630X (65") is RM6,000. I was wondering if the HDR makes a significant difference with 1080p material. Any thoughts? The larger 65" will contribute more to the cinematic effect due to the larger screen so it's sort of preferable. IMO, HDR significantly boosts a TV's contrast ratio and allows for much finer detail in the shades in between. It comes alongside another feature, wide color gamut (WCG), which lets a TV produce more colors than most current sets are capable of. Main TVs aren't changed so quickly so better to get latest tech in order to use the best features for longer. I'd definitely go with a HDR equipped TV. If you own or plan to own a PS4, it'll come in handy too.

QUOTE(axenophage @ Jan 17 2018, 10:20 AM) If u guys watch netflix 4k,is it going to be full screen or still have those black border top down? That's normal regardless of res...Those black bars are due to the aspect ratio the TV show or movie was filmed in - seeing them means the title was filmed in an aspect ratio that isn't a perfect fit for your screen. It'll appear on some big, others smaller and rest full-screen image. So just relax and enjoy the content.

QUOTE(CoffeeDude @ Jan 17 2018, 12:31 PM) Where did you all buy the TV? From Lazada or electrical shops? Due to discounted pricing, vouchers etc..I mean cheaper is good right... More and more are buying from online stores, especially if you already know the exact model to buy.. Some physical shops like SH also have online stores with Lazada..Whichever seller you choose, just be careful and buy preferably within your state to avoid potential delivery damage. With Lazada, sure you can return or refuse the delivery even...but then it becomes a time issue where you'll have to wait for a refund or suitable replacement. Got mine couple years back from HM.. For big ticket items such as these, I prefer to deal with a physical shop and get extended warranty. So if any issues, I know exactly where to waltz and flip tables for speedy fix.

QUOTE(badtzcroc @ Jan 20 2018, 02:31 PM) My LC-60UE630X keep rebooting. When turned on, the screen shows sharp logo. Then it loading for android. But half way loading it will reboot again. This situation continues endlessly in a loop. Anyone is facing the same issue? Any idea how to resolve it? How to perform hard reset without going through home screen? Did some light reading and hopefully it isn't the Motherboard that needs replacing.

QUOTE(badtzcroc @ Jan 23 2018, 06:02 PM) Have a chat with the technician on phone just now. Most likely need to change motherboard.... Ah.. Looks like it's going to be a well-known manufacturing defect for that model. Hope it's a onetime fix then.

QUOTE(axenophage @ Feb 15 2018, 07:12 PM) I don't think its about the battery.. I think the remote itself seems like switch ON for 24hrs.. The other Sharp remote, keyboard and mouse dont have battery drain issue.. Yeah... Figured that part out as others confirmed it. If indeed the remote keeps drawing power nonstop, then it's a massive flaw. Since it has a mic, I'm assuming that voice commands are possible. Maybe it's listening and waiting for voice commands.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Mar 17 2018, 11:37 PM) Err... correct... bad news. I tested it.... cant install. Even older version 7.0.5 which i tested good before no longer works. Looks like the new security update has locked out certain apps. I encountered this with one other app so far. That's weird. Maybe they got a lot of complaints about installing non-android tv OS apps from less savvy users.. ..

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Mar 18 2018, 09:54 AM) there were a couple of apps that are barred too before android6/security update. now, more are barred... dunno why. good news is the ones i want to use, good so far, no issue. this androidtv os is certainly more restrictive than generic android. Yeah, it's restrictive in order to preserve the primary reason Android TV OS was built. By right it should not allow any installation of apps outside the app store. So I understand.
